So, now that we all know the Fametracker forums are down, a couple of others have sprung up, including NatalieM's board. But there have been some problems already! A post at the Fametrackers community on Livejournal complained about (a)the layout and (b)the reaction when people complained about the layout.

The post on the NatalieM board was started by a friend of the person who set it up, and they don't see what's wrong with it. There is no real outrage (although some people do make complaints about the colour scheme) until Abbe comes to defend the look at the bottom of the first page.

People are rather put out by this, as the responses on the second page prove. People essentially marvel at how it took these moderators mere days to alienate their board members. It's not as such the wankiest thing ever, but it's not bad, right?

Over on the calvinandhobbes LJ community, a tiny little wanklet erupted when restless_jedi makes an innocent-seeming request: She wants her some Calvin and Hobbes slash...which doesn't exactly sit well with the natives.

At first, the reactions are of the expected OMG what are you drinking??? Please don't share variety, complete with requisite furry reference/slam. Untillllll...someone pulls out the Pedophile Reference Card, and a small fraction of Hell breaks loose and runs amok...but just a small one, mind you. The OP gives us a taste of the shape of things to come in her response, in paraphrase: "Oh yeah? Well, as a Tennesseean backwoods incestuous redneck hick, you should know better than to call me a pedophile!"

The wank is almost disappointing...until mysubtleknife jumps in, with a rather succinct request for the original poster. Chaos reigns! Murder! Mayhem! Hitler references! Emo-riffic 'my life sucks more than yours so nyah' metaphorical dick-stroking! Name-calling! Nietzsche book-throwing! Snoopy ass-fucking Charlie Brown! Scrolling text! Oh, the horror!

During the resulting tug-of-war, the OP finally clarifies that she when she said "Calvin and Hobbes slash", she really meant to say "Calvin and Hobbes slash where Calvin is a teenager. Oh, and by the way, Hobbes isn't a 'stuffed animal'; he's an anthropomorphic humanoid tiger." Which, of course, makes all the difference in the world, dontchaknow.

Finally, after a long string of comments, one brave, brave soul seconds the motion for the request of C&H slashy...somethingorother. Will the masses spooge on this newcomer? Only time will tell.
