10:25am: Lost Fandom/Gay Marriage Wank
First time poster here, so...hope everything is right!

The ever increasingly-wanky Lost fandom brings yet another gem, started with a post by chrissyinrevolt, who is wondering how many of the characters on the show are gay. S/he would especially like to see some Jack/Sawyer love. First commenters comment along the lines of, "That's hot." Next come the, "I always hoped that Boone would be gay" comments.

Then came the inevitable thread started by egytiger, stating, "if anyone on this show was like that i wouldnt watch it anymore. that kind of lifestyle is immoral and wrong and those people discust me."

Typos included.

Wank wreaks havoc.

Then the thread is frozen and nobody can respond.

So, egytiger starts another thread, and there are tons of biblical references, questioning of political party, and But Jesus loves all his children!.

I'm glad the show isn't trying to be PC! This one's from a well known wanker, opalescence_. Apparently, on being gay: "It's *not* life."

Could have fooled me.

Surprisingly, msallegro turns up to defend the point that having gays on the island would not be PC, but real life, and ends up not being too wanky (and just makes a rather well-put point). Gasp.

Have no fear, though, because msallegro gets a question and responds with, "Nope, never been in a book group, but I'm rather notorious in LOTR fandom." Couldn't stay wank free for long.

Potential. The place is rank with it.

5:58pm: Gackt hates his American fans? And an extra: how to be a Wanky Moderator
There is a interesting little Jrock Wank going on at the Dears LJ community dedicated to Gackt.

It all starts when anime_grl_2286, an apparently new Gackt fan, begins beating a long dead horse:

ONOES! Gackt must not like American fans because he doesn’t do concerts here!

Things calm down, and a true wank is barely avoided... or is it?

Enter cfchan also known as Cha. Just so you know Cha is a BNF/Moderator from Muse, a fansite dedicated to establishing a US fanclub for Gackt. In the last two weeks alone she has proven on several occasions via the Muse boards (requires a log in) that being a moderator does not actually require any moderating, it apparently only requires being quite wanky.

Cha decides to make a brand new post of her own to address the issue. ( She of course does this in her normal friendly manner...if by friendly you mean wanky. )

It goes down hill from there with several offshoot (and somewhat random) arguments like ( these gems of fandom )

This is just a peek at the excitment, and it continues to grow. I am sure you can still find many other good little tidbits.

I've been a Mouse for ages but finally got an account. Between this miniwank from earlier in the week, and the latest gem of parents whining about omfgteh_pr0n!11

All was semi-well until Angry Ms. B shows up and whines about Cassie Claire stealing money from her daughter. Right here, hot and spoogy

I know, IMDb wank, dime a dozen.

So I bring you two unrelated IMDb wanks. Don't ask me to do math on the "dime a dozen" phrase, though.

Thank God for decent people like Elvis in this almost Sodam and Gomorrah world we now live in.

#2: Don't see Trainspotting, for there is one scene that displays violence toward an American.

IN HOLLYWOOD MOVIES, WE DONT HAVE SCENES IN ATTACKING FOREIGN PEOPLE. IS THIS BECAUSE THE BRITS ARE JEALOUS OF US? AND WANT TO PROMOTE VIOLENCE? I THINK IT IS.

It all starts out at the fanart gallery of a person called animecartist, a Copy Artist, whose choice of art style is to basically recopy original official art from several different anime series. However, it is not limited to just that as she has also taken the liberty to copy someone else's fanart.
