3:04am: Icon wank that keeps going and going and going!
Icons are nice little 100x100 or less graphics that represent us in journalling sites such as Livejournal, right? WRONG! Over in interpol_nyc (the comm for those poets from New York) precipitate announces that she wants everybody to quit parading what she refers to as shit made by self-involved dudes.

Wank ensues, people post polls to know what the majority thinks, analyse the frequency of icon posts in the community and just plain bitch. They've been wanking furiously the whole day, and it doesn't look like they're going to stop soon.

3:42am: I knew I couldn't just leave without drama popping up!
Kittiekitkat posts her farewell to girl_gamers, citing "bitchy ness because of a post getting posted again.. Get over yourselfs." as her reason. Oh and she doesn't like drama.

Things go smoothly for a while, people pointing out that if she didn't like teh_drama she could have just hit the button and left. Recently though, yourbloodless sets everyone straight with "Its pretty fuckin funny that you guys are still running your fuckin mouths just like all you women do."

I can't find the link post everyone is whining about (it may have been deleted). But basically it was a post making fun of people who keep posting the same link.

1:38pm: Mini-West Wing Wank

Aww, look, alliteration!

A post is made in West Wing Fans this morning listing rumours about some of the cast members (and by "cast members", apparently terminator generally means "people who did a 2-ep guest spot"). 

Hey, did you know that Rob Lowe was caught on tape with an underage girl, Aaron Sorkin has a drug problem, as does Matthew Perry, John Goodman, Christian Slater, and Jimmy Smits?!?? Also, Lily Tomlin likes girls.

Most of them are negative (although technically a lot of them are also mostly true, even though they're exaggerated), no source is cited, no explanation is given for the post, and I don't know about the rest of the people in that com, but I have no idea who the poster is.

People express dismay in the comments, defend Rob Lowe from the INJUSTICE of these unsubstantiated rumours, request a source for all this, and generally wonder wtf is going on.  A search of the OP's user info and reading some of his back entries reveals that he apparently only started watching the show when he realized Alan Alda was on it.  In a bizarre twist of events, comments start mysteriously disappearing.

Another post is made asking if the com has a mod.  We're mostly a self-modding community, since A)no one knows who or where the mod is, and B)it's the West Wing.  We only fight when the Josh/Donna shippers and the Josh/Amy shippers get going.

And then, the plot twist!  The OP is the mod!  Horrors, how did this happen?!  Apparently the old mod hasn't posted in her journal since 2001, so your friend and mine, terminator, took over her account and modding duties.  Yes, there has been a coup d'etat in the West Wing fandom.</span>

I didn't expect it to grow quite as quickly as it did, but now that we've apparently been taken over by a foul-mouthed moron, things should be more interesting.

7:58pm: It may be small, but it's chock full of IMBD lunacy.

Over on the IMDB boards for the Lilo & Stitch tv series (which in my opinion blows every other Disney spinoff show out of the water), we have a thread about the possible return of Angel. For those of you who haven't seen the show, Angel is Experiment 624--I think that's the right number--and, well. Let's just say there's a very strong case for her being a canon Mary Sue. But we're here for the wank! Said wank is rather massive due to the instigator's 'unique' formatting, but I'm leaving it as-is so you folks get the full effect.

I'm quite afraid to look, but I'm almost certain that this Nima person is probably spewing her madness all over the series' board, so if you want more of her schizoid ravings, you know where to find it.

Why does my little fandom attract these weirdos? And why do we rival Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Dragonball Z for sheer volume of Mary Sue fanfiction? Ah, internet, you make me sad.
