8:51am: pottersues destroyed my (friend's) will to live!
Nothing new here... just classic Capslocked Badfic and the Cult of Self-Esteem idiocy, with a dash of added melodrama. If you crave variety, skip this one. If you're in the mood for an oldie-but-goodie, here it is.

10:06am: Attracting the best to the bug light...

Over on Mock the Stupid, TrollPrincess makes a post about a stupid review she received on a fanfic. Mockage ensues and all is beautiful in we're better than you land. Then along come the husband and wife team of oag and mrs. oaglizzielove with the tried and true fanfic is stealing and ficcers are lazy and pathetic. They also throw in the new twist that the only thing worse than a ficcer, is someone who reviews fic.

Small, but tasty.

damnskippytoo applies for membership at icon_crack, an elite fandom icontest community. (From the userinfo- "We're not elitest bitches, we're just trying to create something that people can enjoy and strive towards.")

She is rejected because her icons are [paraphrasing here]"all the same, too much brushwork, not sharp enough and too much text."

Skippy does not take this well. Despite stating, "I'm not arguing with your decision," she wanks long and hard. Much tl;dr from both sides.

6:22pm: Stupidity and Wolf Wankage
Over on a Wolf's Rain board, a cosplayer named DJ Toboe said that a reliable source told him about a week-long Underground Wolf's Rain convention that will be hitting all the US state capitals. The convention has all the English Voice Actors and Japanese Voice Actors there!

A few pages of excitement ensue before Nocash shows up and points out how this is a fake, and how stupid this whole idea is. Wankage ensues and someone calls Nocash a WR [Wolf's Rain] hating dork.

Then Kibasmate shows up. And it hits the fan.

( Poorly spelled words, and insane fangirl? Sign me up! )

Discussion verges off into Kibasmate's broken capslock, exactly who can ban who and why, and proper usage of the word "kawaii". (Not mentioned, not using it at all).

Then someone points out that several of the voice actors couldn't be doing this "convention" because they're not in the area, or doing other things. Kibasmate has lots more lovely wisdom about that:

Finally, someone posts a screenshot of an e-mail they received from Crispin Freeman, one of the English Wolf's Rain VA's. For the time being that seems to have shut up Kibasmate.

And, dear fandom wankers, we are left with only DJ Toboe's mournful plea:

*cries* Not only am I losing friends over this, but I'm probably going to lose the respect of this entire forum.
