Over at SD-1.net, the Fanfiction Pet Peeves Thread has become a breeding ground for wank. One can rail against those authors they hate but if pressed say that they're just making generalizations.

It starts out sane, people posting peeves about poor grammar, formating, WIP's, BNFs getting too big for their brithces, etc. Enter Krisnreine, and Aliasscape, who for reasons unknown to me seems to have it out for one of their fellow fanfic writers. BACKGROUND: the fanfiction they dislike is Show Me Heaven by Luna-Moon--who is quite obviously not a native English speaker. Scrolling through the reviews, Krisnreine seems very supportive at first but something seems to have happened since she posted that review in June of 2004 (my friend who pointed this wank out to me tells me it has to do with to rival Lena Olin sites (an actress on Alias) who apparently have been duking it out for some time) The fanfiction in question is AU, where the characters remain the same, but the setting is changed, in this case to the US Civil War.

Hi ~waves hello~ newbie here. I'm sort of a serial lurker, here, mainly because I never seem to find the wank first, but I think I might just have a worthy contribution ;-)

Over on ohnotheydidnt, letitia posts some dubious pics of Dom Monaghan kissing an unidentified bloke. By "dubious" I mean that they were apparently obtained and posted illegitimately, not that they are fake in any way. I gather that the pictures have been the subject of past wankage, which I will go looking for directly. It's small, but has potential, I hope. Some of the highlights:

tropicalxlondon weighing in intelligently with "ugh that hobbit guy IS NOT HOT shut up people",

the whole "JUST BCZ HES KISSING A GUY DOESNT MEAN HES GAY!!!!11!!1" fap being pre-empted (hopefully not - I *like* it when 'phobes prove how dumb they are!) by tacobellspork,

rubianess inexplicably slewing the whole thing sideways by posting pics of Dom helping with birthing lambs - much with the OMGTHATSOGROSS, and some OMGARETHEYDED????!!!! idiocy as well by a few folks who obviously never saw an episode of All Creatures Great and Small. They're sorted out by a few folks who *do* know what a newborn lamb looks like.
