12:22am: Harry Potter wank...of course
I feel so special. It's my first wank!

Apparently everybody in the Harry Potter fandom hates Katie Couric. She's a terrible interviewer, etc. etc. So when news is annouced that Katie Couric will Interview J.K. Rowling, and the network is accepting questions from viewers...the shit hits the fan.

People start throwing out accusations that kids don't have good questions, Katie Couric is a terrible journalist, and everything in between. I can't link to some of the choicer tidbits, due to the comments system on Leaky Couldron, but it's all there (hint for new visitors: the oldest comments are at the bottom of the page; newest at the top).

I'm really loving the offence new-adults are taking (I spent most of my life as a child being condescended to...). I sympathize completely because I *still* get that, but it's not helping the wank any.

Whew. Hopefully that first time was as good for you as it was for me :-)

Okay, the wank is sort of continued from here.

For those of you who want to get right into it, here's the recap:

Blue Rose: Tabletop RPG based on Mercedes Lackey style fantasy books, including psychic animals and a kingdom that chooses its ruler by the blesings of a mystical Golden Hart (as in deer). Has a modified d20 system.
Nisarg: Doesn't like the setting. Likes the system. Is quite vocal about this.
The Forum Mods: Are willing to make Nisarg a system-only forum so that he'll quit bugging the other forum goers.
Other Forum Goers: Are happy to see Nisarg go, as they don't like him much anymore.

( OF course if he just left, there wouldn't be this post. )

The best part is that I'm pretty sure both sides have sticky fingers by the end of it. AND it's ongoing. But now I want a magic deer icon.

7:27pm: One of the These Days, Alice...To the Moon
I had no idea that this would be another summer of re-imagined TV shows getting the big screen treatment.

This time it's The Honeymoooners. Another bit of proof that Hollywood has run out of ideas.

There are 16 pages of wank to have to sift through. Much of it is absurdly unfunny; others make you wonder if these same folks were raised on this planet; others, of course, are of the "Would you want to see an all-white version of Amos & Andy.

Grab some hipwaders, an asbestos flack jacket, a spoon and some some icecream and have a ringy-dingy-do time.

Recently the show NCIs had its season finale.

A main character died, which makes most of the fandom go "dude that sucks. *sniff* "



But apparent BNF (i wouldnt know,I'm new) B_Cavis goes batshit CRAZY and posts a HATE-filled letter to the producer, beggining with the immortal words, "I AM CALM, I AM RATIONAL. I AM TOTALLY GOING TO SENd DPB A HERPES! INFECTED HOOKER".


Apparently she ships the character that died with the character that killed them. ANS SHE IS THE CREATOR OF THIS PAIRING HOW DARE YOU DESTROY IT!

ANS SHES NEVER WATCHING THIS SHOW AGAIN (but never fear sockpuppets, shes not leaving fandom she will still write the shipperfic, um ..yay?) AND AGAIN HERPES!
