Another one of those Mock the Stupid wanks which starts with someone exhibiting their own rather limited grasp of reality. Babygrrrrl1000 posts a twofer, neither of which really rise to the level of stupid: the death of the guy who played General Burkhaldter, and the name of Penn Gillette's baby girl. In the middle of predictable cause-of-death wank and stupid-name-wank (with a side trip into the inevitable "My mother went to school with Penn and she says he's a dick" and a little "what do you mean they made a sitcom about Nazis" that hasn't been picked on yet) an unexpected side wank into the Hitchhiker's Guide books breaks out.

Someone in philadelphia posts that "I (and several other members of this community) are planning to protest Antrhocon, a convention for furries. I would like to get some sign ideas and also see if anyone else is interested."

It's fresh, it's still young, but I'd say it's ripe for a massive wank-off if it doesn't get deleted first.

5:08pm: Wank from the Horror Writers Association
Nick Mamatas, a well-reviewed midlist horror writer and rather prominent member of the HWA, has a blog at nihilistic_kid. He has, let's say...strong opinions about the writing business. Recently, he was nominated for the Stoker Awards' Best First Novel category, which he did not win, and, as a result in some way I don't quite understand because the relevant posts have since been edited or deleted, had a tiff with aspiring writer and fellow HWA member Paul Dracon (biledragon). Some of the posts have been deleted from Paul's end, but:

6:11pm: First Wank! About a fandom you probably never heard of.
It's mostly old news but wankery nonetheless

Cultscomics (aka Jay) had decided to have some trolling fun with the fans over at The Femforce Message Board a very very minor comic book fandom. His trolling, which as he pointed out, amounted to a couple skewed polls and a few snarky comments on their board. Which hardly amounted to anything compared to some places, seemed to irate the Femforcers to no end. In response to this, Paul Monsky, board mod and writer of their comics posted a massive rant in which he posted a large amount of personal information about him.(said post and replies have been deleted, but Jay saved screencaps of that original post)

It sparked a bit of fun in the fandom, even got mentioned in the rumor report of columnist Rich Johnston. (Down near the bottom)

Word of warning kiddies, middle age fans of mediocre comics appear to be experienced at cyberstalking :)

Hello sorry to bother but i wanted to know if there was anyother person who is a Harry Potter 's fics fanatic but who actually has never finished at least the first one of JKR 's books?Because I started to read the fics then when i tried to read JKR's books i got upset about the injustice towards Slytherin House and the blatant hypocrisy of most of the gryphindor characters.

Some people freak out, some people confess to not having read the books either (a lot of Harry/Draco fics suddenly make sense now) and lots of people mock. As for me, I think "troll" but am persuaded otherwise by her follow-up post, which seems sincere.

It's small, but amusing.

The topic starts off with your typical "Game companies aren't making enuff gamez omfg!11eleventy1." Then everyone jumps in to tell the OP off. However a newb decides to agree with the OP. There's wank at the newb, who then decides to show his "intelligence" by picking a fight with the admin.

Wank ensues, and it is quite tl;dr.
