1:43am: a sex-fantasy involving children is fine...just as long as you don't actually have sex with children
I know that technically the childfree people aren't actually part of a fandom, but I figure that they might as well be, you know. And also this wank is so mind-blowing that I sort of feel it doesn't really matter, but if anyone really strongly objects to this being here, I'll move it obviously.

So, got this off an anonymouse in wank_report. Protoaxl posts the link to this site (ETA: a forum for people who...like young girls, for lack of a better way to put it) on the cf_hardcore community at LJ. People clearly freak out, understandably I think, seeing as I found the site fairly creepy myself. All those pictures of the little girls...seriously. :|

So everyone's happily telling everyone else how disgusted they are, and how glad they are for being childfree as to not bring more victims into the world and everything, when lxl_gl shows up.

Pedophiles are sexually attracted to children... so... they are turned on by thinking about sexual activities with children.

Doesn't mean they will actually do them.

She gives valuable insights into the psyche of pedophiles. Everyone else freaks out much, much more than before. She doesn't actually comment more than twice on the post, I think, but yes, there is a fair amount of spooge from the other members replying to her. I've only skimmed this bit of the thread, but from what I've seen, it's fairly interesting. ;))

ETA: Heh, just realised I automatically assumed lxl_gl was a girl. I'm not really sure why, seeing as most people tend to assume pedophilic type people to be male.

ETA2: [info]sarajayechan mentions another post to cf_hardcore. I totally cannot be bothered to read that whole post, man. But there's much wank in the comments.

ETA3: Verification of Godwin's Law (from the wtf_inc post). *Grins*, I love how these things almost always, always happen in wank.

2:12pm: But Mounties don't wank in uniform...
In ds_discourse (a discussion community for Due south) aingeal8c makes a post about Benton Fraser's omgsotragic past.

While people don't have a problem with most of what she says, they object to her statement about season 3/4 not really being canon in her mind.

He lost his mother at the tender age of 6 (‘Victoria’s Secret’) and if you believe S3/4 canon (‘COTW’) then his mother was murdered by a close family friend (I still think illness or injury would have been more plausible but that’s just me).

People take the time to correct her on the meaning of canon. Several times.

She responses to most of those comments.

Some choice bits:

We have Stella/Ray Vecchio never marry because it isn't said point blank.

We have comparisons to Dallas and Star Trek Voyager

We have a denial of the joy that is RayK/Fraser Come on they ride off into the sunset together, how is their relationship not canon! Not that I have anything against RayV/Fraser. I'd just rather have Ray/Ray/Fraser

And what wank would be complete with out the apology/retraction post that isn't really one.

It's all pretty polite but this is as wanky as this fandom gets these days. Now I'm sure there were some prime wanks turning the days when Ray Vecchio was replaced by Ray Kowalski

ETA: Aingeal8c f-locks her journal.

6:54pm: Late Night Anchor Catfight! Roooowrrr!
Remember that wank about how OMG Conan deserved Emmys!! And we all sorta chuckled and thought, "Can't you just like them both?!" I, personally, thought "As if it even matters. Conan is probably just glad Leno didn't win or something!"

Errr, I guess not. This week's New York Magazine has a long profile about Conan that reveals he's not too pleased with The Daily Show.

"By the way, if you want to get on O’Brien’s good side, do not bring up Jon Stewart (who failed at his own late-night show in 1994), as it makes him bristle at the unfairness of Stewart’s comedic hegemony—he won two Emmys last week—for a far less complex, toilsome, and popular show, at 1.4 million viewers per night."

Jeff Ross, the show's executive producer, refers to TDS as "below the radar" and doesn't include on their board of who other late night shows have one.

Can't we all just get along?!

(feel free to delete if this isn't wanktastic enough, but it smacked of wank to me.)
8:00pm: Meanwhile, back at the GAFF...
There's been a spate of ridiculous,"look at meeee!" posts in Gabbery lately, mostly about help with homework and complaints about why someone can't wear watches. DancingBordercollie makes one, asking for help with a debate.

Tilly replies crankily.

The board explodes.
