2:27am: the world is a very sad place
A little bit of an old wank, but people still seem to be posting there. It's on the imdb boards (obviously), at the page on the new movie Brokeback Mountain. It's based on the short story by Annie Prlkdfoirxxcjlsdsomethingortheother, which is essentially about two gay cowboys. So anyway, the poster says that he will be bringing peashooters to the movie for all the straight guys that will be going there and making stupid comments in the middle. A few people agree with the sentiment, but others talk of 'gays not being respectful towards straights', 'fat black women who can eat people', and Nazis and so on.

...and others. Oh, also there's 'as a gay man, I know what I'm talking about, but I end up looking like an idiot anyway', and RANDOM caps EXPLOITATION. Personally, nothing annoys me more than people who go '*beep*' or use some other way to cover up the fact that they are swearing. Makes me want to reply to posts like that with nothing more than the word 'fuck' twenty times. :| Yes, I'm very mature, why do you ask? Of course, then again, imdb boards may have disabled swearing, and I'm just stupid.

ETA: On an unrelated note (in terms of the wank), I yousentit a copy of the short story for a friend, and figured that if anyone here wanted to read it...the people up here supporting it look like idiots, but I still rather like the story, *grins*. Am not exactly sure if this is allowed, and will obviously take it down if people object.

5:14pm: Guess what, it's more FF7 pairing wank!

More bitesized than the last one I posted, but wanktastic all the same.

The culprit this time? Vincent/Yuffie. )

Wow, and this time, Advent Children wasn't even involved!

10:44pm: It's a Man's World...or maybe it's just written that way....
Minor fanficrants wank that I'm posting thanks to the heel-dragging of [info]senor_pinata

lord_gribeau is a male, and apparently loves it. Whether his fondness for his Y chromosome is due to the vertical bathroom use, the fabled One-Orgasm-at-a-Time, or just the abundant job opportunities as a Roman Catholic pederast, he doesn't make clear. But one thing is certain:
He's not happy sitting at the boy's table in the fanfic world.
Not that I can blame him – boys make creepy shapes with their mashed potatoes, which could put anyone off his dinner. But it's the women he's upset with:

And I'm annoyed at parts of the female fan fiction population, especially the quasi-academic, use-big-word female crowd. I'm annoyed at females who put down men in discussions regarding fan fiction. I'm annoyed at the portrayal of men in fan fiction.

He's mad as all goshdarn heckfire and he's not gonna take it no more! )

The reactions start out relatively mild, mostly along the "mmm, I see. Okay. I can buy that." lines. Then the people at the women's table glance over and see him acting out. Millyfan begins the countdown and people get a tad testy. Or ovaresty. Or something.

I was going to excerpt examples, but then I realized how long this would get. Click. Read. Learn. Are men the new black? Are gays the new men? Ask yourself what the real reason is for people thinking raptorscribe is a girl.

Oh, and no furry male bashing. My Intraweb lawyerz are standing by, dammit.

Oh hell, go ahead and bash males. Just don't bash the nasty furries. I almost mean it.
10:50pm: Scans_daily, where people post scans daily. Of comic books.

allaine77 doesn't like Catwoman's current black leather costume, and posts three scans of the purple early 90's Catwoman to illustrate his point. People comment along the lines of "naw", "*shrugs*", "CATWOMAN! <3", "purple!" or "leather!".

Alas, it seems that the majority does not prefer purple spandex. allaine77 discusses the sad state of the world with a secret friend, and decides that he cannot keep silent. And so the post is edited to add. Oh, he's sure he will be banned for it, but "sometimes a personal principle is important enough to risk losing a community membership"...

Edited to add: And now, an apology. Well, it looks like an apology (don't look too close!)
