12:18am: It's only been four days.
I saw this while searching through hp_icons and was going to report it to wank_report, but someone beat me to it.

Well, 'Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire' just came out four days ago technically, if you count it being released midnight on the 18th of November. Some countries don't get the movie until much later, even until December.

Of course this doesn't mean that the movie already hasn't been leaked on the 'net, of course. teh_indy already has caps up of GoF just a few days after release, and well, someone who hasn't seen it has complained about not cutting the post for spoilers.

From this, many people have basically said 'if you don't want to be spoiled, don't click the link', but much arguing is being had with solus_aetas with everyone about how it's not fair that some countries got to see GoF before others as well as claiming that the caps are illegal, and all of teh_indy's friends come to defend her honour and insult solus_aetas's English, amongst other things.

3:08pm: Fanficrants vs. Fanbrats, round 4,000,001
You've seen the previews. Now, an ALL NEW fanficrants wank, a whole weekend in the brewing for your point-and-laughing pleasure!

On Saturday, whispered_life complains about a semi-coherent story she found on ff.net. There are the usual nitpicking and "oh god my eyes" comments, but a few people get their panties in an undue wad.

hitchhiker_42 declares intent to flame, as crappy fanfic authors MUST BE STOPPED!!!1. jadepheonix84 (remember this name, it becomes important later) announces that s/h/it is going Vole Hunting. Various posters are less than supportive.

On Monday, mod ladybirdsleeps reiterates in a new post: Dear people who take this too seriously, You DO NOT have the right to a fandom free of badfic. Authors who write badfic ARE NOT committing a crime. Fandom IS NOT a place you have to "deserve" to be in because you write well. Bad writing IS NOT an excuse for bad treatment.

Most of the community agrees. Several people dash up to the ramparts scanning for the F_W advance troops.

jadepheonix84, however, calls TROLL: I usually don't call people out, but I'll make an exception. Ladybird is a troll. I have proof too. Look at this post, it's creation is for the sole purpose of starting a fight. ( Full comment in case of baleetion )

Coincidentally, within a matter of minutes s/h/it posts to inform the community at large that s/h/it has "Lost my will to rant" and is LEAVINGOMG. Because of, um, having too much homework. Yeah, that's it.

3:54pm: Your Opinion Sucks!
Hooray for Gamefaqs wank! We discover in this thread, Sieferx2 has a beef with Penny Arcade. Apparently PA recently gave their opinion of the FFXII demo in a news update.

Sieferx2 is not at all happy. "If they dont enjoy it fine, but they are trying to say its an insult to the entire franchise and everyone who has made the franchise successful. Does any else find their article infuriating ? They didnt mention the fact that the story looks to be very interesting, and the music was top notch."

Two comments later, Silvance chimes in, "They are revealing their opinions. Kind of like they did for a ton of other games so far... I don't see you fussing about what they say about other games."

TheHawaiianStallion, however, thinks they have another motive. "I think this is a crappy piece of tripe used to draw in audience and get them noteriety when all they're known for is a somewhat entertaining web comic and that stand against Jack Thompson."

Then someone mentions how it's just opinion and everyone explodes. Comments ranging from "Well, their opinions are about as valuable as their name implies." to "FF12 sucks and everyone else is wrong."

You'll find FF wank, PA wank, cries of "Square doesn't care about their fans!", and a badly constructed metaphor about opinions on the net and political opinions. It's at 15 pages and still going.

6:44pm: Christians + HP = totally not my OTP
Ladies and gentlemen, you may remember my charming wank of a couple of months ago about Megarouge, who, back then, thought it fit to jump over people for not being as OMGTOLERANT as her by labelling anyone with a dissenting opinion to her as some sort of crazy fundamentalist Christian. And when I say 'crazy fundamentalist Christian', I mean anyone who has less-than hateful views about Christianity in general.

All was quiet after she got banned the first time, and apparently she was unbanned a little while back too, because she accused Gwendolyn Grace of having some kind of crazy vendetta against her. But once again, I get ahead of myself.

Megarouge is back with her particular brand of live-and-let-live Liberal(tm) tolerance and philanthropy with a charmingly entitled FAP thread called Can't Stand Christians (in relation to HP), stating:

I would like to add my Can't Stand thread. I despise Christians' views on Harry Potter. Yeah not all of them hate it, true, but the handful that do never STFU... If I happen to offend any Christians...well I don't care, actually.

Some Christians over there, including some Christian slashers, object. So Megarouge responds with her omgoppression post:

Don't worry about being off topic, Fairy. Only the non-Christians get penalized for that.

Unfortunately, the thread is closed now. But fantastic, given the history, and I give it eleven thumbs up for great family entertainment.

11:47pm: Fresh from OhNoTheyDidnt- singing Nazi twins!

ladybella posts on ohnotheydidnt an article that reports that the Nazi singing sensation Prussian Blue has been trying to tour in Australia but, for some reason, the officials there don't seem to be too wild about the idea.

And it's the usual- "Ew, Nazi cooties!" and the rather more surreal "Awww... they're so cute!" until... iamkinki steps in!

We have: bad trolling from iamkinki! Nazi bashing! Random slightly pedophilic comments! Mexicans! And invocations of Godwin's Law!

All before the third page!!

( I'm just waiting for someone to murder them. You know it's going to happen. Nazi whoresluts. )
