8:20pm: My friend, jadedprimate, doesn't have a JF account, so I'm posting this for him (with minor input and linking).

On the RA Salvatore boards, a member by the name of kierkanrufo posts a minor rant about inconsistencies in the recently released Drizzt comic adaptation. Some people disagree, and kierkanrufo, Don Quixote-style, starts flailing at the evil windmills.

You fascists, you! Shame on you for reading books based on D&D and not taking the morals to heart! )

(Edit to correct links.)
9:11pm: My favourite on again, off again wanker, ataniell93, has written the essay, On HP fandom and the Cult of Mean.
." Seems she took some offense to [info]theregoesmygun's poll inspired by [info]onlyinfatuated, and after telling off her friendslist and demanding apologies, she's decided to take a stand against the horrors of HP fandom.

She writes the "commandments" of the HP Cult of Mean, while adding her own thoughts on how wrong or misguided those "commandments" are. Most of the comments agree, because really, who's going to post to an essay about "mean girls" and disagree, thus branding themself horribly and irreparably. It's hit [info]daily_snitch, however, so we'll see where it goes.

ETA: Thanks to a wank reporting mouse and the lovely [info]snacky, who pointed me to such, we have updates. The ever fabulous [info]ajhalluk weighs in. [info]theregoesmygun responds to ataniell93, and "[info]carlanime asks the important questions."
