7:30am: stolen from wank_report, but what a winner!
This particular wank is my second ever posting of anonymous meme wank. Last time I failed like a second hand condom, but this time is way more fun: it's got it all; consprechy theories, BNFs, bitter mousies and zomg DEFRIEEEENDING!!!!!

Aja has put up the last anonymous meme of 2005, which understandably has received a whole fuckload of comments. But that's not the fun part. The fun part is Darkasphodel, who has let out a scathing tirade against many in HP fandom, including one of the mods from the hogwarts_today news comm.

Fanficrants is at it again.

waffle_heiress makes a post ranting about how fic authors need to do research on childbirth before they write fics about. Hilarity ensues when it is pointed out that she is actually wrong on several points in her rant. dz_crasher starts wanking pretty hard here.

10:41pm: new cover art for good omens sparks wank. (story at eleven.)
in good omens fandom, wank is afoot. i'll start you off with a quote from our snarky fandom newsletter, niceandaccurate:

quantum_witch posts the new book covers to lower_tadfield (irisbleu does likewise on stjamespark). Overall reaction is mixed between those who think they're cute and those who want to know why Aziraphale is dressed like a 1950s gym teacher and wtf is with the bat wings the artist gave Crowley. Everyone likes the Look Aziraphale is giving Crowley, though.

niceandaccurate was both nice and accurate at the time when it went to press, but there was something brewing in the comments. many good omens fans are very devoted and loyal to the authors of its canon, neil gaiman and terry pratchett. so much so that some of them are apt to take things a bit personally.
