3:19am: Should I see Brokeback Mountain even though gayness is evil?
On the Brokeback Mountain imdb board, mole02 asks:
...I can't help but wonder about how much of these raves I've been hearing, like the Oscar talk and Golden Globe nominations, are because of the film's cinematic brilliance and how much are just because it's a film that endorses homosexuality.

People ask why it matters. mole02 states that he is bipartisan, and therefore wary of the liberal media bias. Or something. The rest of the discussion is mostly mole02 defending his non-bigot status.

12:01pm: Aren't people starting to chafe yet?!
Sometimes, the foes of fandom_wank complain that we're partisan about very important issues like GM foods, women's right to choice and Harry Potter shipping. I would like to hope that this entry proves them WRONG!!!!!

What else could it be? Harmonian v. Orange Crush shipping wank. What a wonderful world we live in.

7:48pm: "Will & Grace" Wank
Over on willandgrace, cyrus_of_persia has written a rant about how he feels "Will & Grace" is doing a disservice to gay men and to women in general, due to Jack being an effeminate gay male and Grace being "dainty"/"effeminate". The rant itself is very wanky (basically asserting that everybody who sees the portrayal of a stereotype of a gay person or a woman automatically thinks all people within that group behave that way), and demonstrates either a woeful lack of knowledge about the show (since when is Grace "dainty"?) or a gross misinterpretation of what it's trying to convey. His argument is very poorly-constructed, citing only one quote from the show to back his claims up. He also almost completely ignores the characters of Will (who's a gay man but doesn't act exceedingly effeminate) and Karen (who's quite a strong female character). Apparently, he also thinks his sexuality is relevant to the argument at hand, stating in the opening sentences of his post that he's bisexual.

Not surprisingly, members of the community think he's full of crap, and proceed to lay it on thick. However, cyrus_of_persia will not be swayed!!!

Like a good wanka, I am saving as much of this wank I can in the case of bahleetion. Fortunately, cyrus_of_persia seems determined to bicker with nearly every commenter, so I don't see bahleetion forthcoming any time soon.

Agammenon, supposedly youkofujima (the artist in question), shows up to wank. The BNF's friends show up and accusations of stalking fly. It all goes to hell from there.

Then, on the second page, Agammenon claims that she, Ravenbell, youkofujima are the same person! (Ok, not really. But she had you going there for a minute, didn't she?)
