2:24pm: Six Months of DisHarmony - How do they endure?
On Portkey, FALSE-S1GNS created the thread How do you endure?, The anxiety is unbearable to mark six months since JK Rowling sunk the H/Hr ship.

JKR ruined his life that day, and he doesn't want anyone to forget it.

For me, even though the Potterverse is just a small part of my life, the aftermath of the content of book six has created further fuel upon fire because my life became/is coincidentally more stressful and unpredictable concurrently with the upsetting conclusions set in place after HBP was read and digested. )

ETA: I can't resist quoting this either. From a certain Detritus

...And sometimes, when it is quiet and the hurt becomes unbearable, one find oneself reciting parts of Boromirs description of Minas Tirith. )
4:14pm: Shoplifters of the world, unite and take over
More Moz wank, from the increasingly-reliable morrissey-solo boards.

Seems that two songs from the new album were leaked, and were linked and discussed on the boards. As a result, the site owner gets a nasty note from Morrissey's lawyer asking for the links to be removed. The site owner fires back with a "contact my lawyer", posts about the current controversy, and asks that in the meantime, readers should not post links to illegal files.

Cue the ranty.Read more... )

Lots of fun to be had, especially if you have strong opinions about filesharing.

Hey, I got to use [info]sparklehorse's Moz icon!
7:55pm: Venom Cock Part Deux
Someone has the temerity to give Touched By Venom a decent review. Not even a glowing review, a decent review. One that contains some contrarianism towards the whole 'venom cock' circle-jerk that, as a semi-pro devil's advocate, I can certainly relate to.

For some reason, [info]nihilistic_kid decides that any kind words for Janine Cross constitute both intellectual dishonesty and pissing in his own personal breakfast product of choice. Now, I myself have the love of lengthy, ornate, pseudo-intellectual invective down in my heart to stay, but this guy just rides his pony til it's chapped. Highlights include Latin and declarations that anyone who doesn't agree with him can't read.

Elsewhere, he takes a claws-out swat at the Strange Horizons editors.
