12:57am: Veronica Mars Hatememe
It's summer, the regular TV season is over, and fans are bored. What happens? Wank, of course!

Behold, the Veronica Mars anonymous meme. The sockpuppet's invitation reads:

What do you REALLY think about VM fans? Here's the place to be brutally honest. Go on, name names. We won't tell.

IP logging is off, anonymous comments are enabled.

I haven't had a chance to go through the nearly 500 comments (as of this posting) but I am sure there is was really hoping there would be plenty of wank to be found but so far this anonymeme is lame. VM fans fail at bringing the wank.

ETA #1: The OP is also a serial adder, so at least 1/4 of the comments are people asking/whining/demanding hir to defriend them.

There is nothing more disturbing than Dick/Mac! and its follow-ups, including a bunch of deleted comments and several fangirls rushing over to vigorously defend one person who was name-checked by a mouse for whining that their Dick/Mac friending meme didn't get much response.

8:43am: Icon Wank!
Over on the LJ feed for the comic VGCats, wank has occurred. But it has nothing to do with the comic.

jisuk appears and asks commenter sebastian_wong if they are subeo from DA. S_W says they are not. Says jisuk to that, "then you should probably credit her for that icon art". S_W responds with 'why' and jisuk proceeds to tell him/her that it's respectful to the artist. It is then that naraht joins the fray in defense of S_W, dragging someone else in, who at this point had nothing to do with the wank.

And they're off. We get "discussions" on the difference between using movie shots and original/fan art in icons, cursing, name calling, furbashing, naraht being an internet lawyer, invocations of LJ Drama, the obligatory cry of "STOP BEING A H8TER", and more.

1:13pm: Everwood and the OMG I'm leaving!!! wankage.
If you didn't know, the TV series Everwood has been cancelled until further notice. Obviously, the fans are in a uproar and several petitions have been made.

On the Everwood LJ community, edenmalfoy would like all the members to know that, "I've decided to leave this community due to the bullshit I've been seeing pop up on my friends page for the past couple of weeks. I was under the impression that there was a community specifically set up in which to petition and bitch about the unfairness of this show going off. I'm sick to death of hearing the 'I hate 7th Heaven', the 'Those execs have some explaining to do', the 'Let's all bombard people at the network with pieces of wood to save our show' bullshit."
