9:55am: Mildly unattractive people aren't allowed to like yuri!
Over on the
GameFAQS (I know, shooting fish in a barrel) "Anime & Manga: Other Titles" board, a user named WhiteRoseGrl23 makes a topic called
"should this be allowed?....."In it, she links to
this blog profile and says:
( I really shouldn't do this....but I will! )
9:30pm:
So Kevin Smith's new movie, Clerks II, aired for critics, and Joel Siegel didn't like it. In fact, he didn't like it so much that he stormed out of the theater yelling "First movie I've walked out on in thirty fucking years".
On the Opie and Anthony show, Smith
has it out with Siegel. (warning--clip is pretty long) Siegel has no idea that he's even talking to Smith until about 7 minutes in.
10:00pm:
Okay, so it's not a big wank but I'm hoping it'll make up for that with the hilarity of the clip that goes with it.
So, for some reason Paul McKenna hypnotises Richard Hammond into thinking he can't drive a car amongst other things.
Top Gear Hypnotising action!.
( The reactions on YouTube are varied )Tiny, yes. But come on, Top Gear wank about hypnotising!
ETA: Munchkinott has linked us to something even better:
Godwin's Caravanning Top Gear Wank of DOOM.
In which James May is accused of being evil for saying "work sets you free". ZOMG reference to Auschwitz!
11:20pm: Free to be....wanky
First wank!So Monday was the new network, the CW's, day to present at the TCA summer tour. Several (well, at least two) shows had press conferences featuring a star or two from the show and the show runner. Over on his blog, Tim Goodman , a TV critic for the San Francisco Chronicle,
gives a recap of the days events. In it he contends that the only reason Gilmore Girls exists is to bring viewers in for Veronica Mars. While describing the difference between the Gilmore Girls press conference and the Veronica Mars press conference, he says, in regards to Alexis Bledel, star of Gilmore Girls, "Bledel's disinterested approach to the proceedings reaffirmed long-held critical beliefs that her best personality trait is one someone else writes for her."
( Cue rabid Gilmore Girls fandom. )It's at 72 comments right now, on a blog that normally gets around 10, and I expect the wank will continue for at least one more day.
