4:21pm: Literary RPF Fraud Wank with A.N. Wilson and Suspects
Posted for a mouse on wank report. I love author wank, and this one even features a fake love letter between two authors, making it honourary RPF.

Okay. So, this is a link to a New York Times article about two feuding biographers. One, A. N. Wilson, has just been discovered to be the victim of a hoax, in the form of a fake letter which he published in his recent book. The letter contains a rude message about Wilson. The chief suspect is the biographer with whom he has been feuding.

There's a link about the feud in the Guardian and this article includes a denial of blame by the chief suspect. And a columnist's reaction here.

It's all really rather civilized -- if you discount the rudeness of the letter and the folks pointing, laughing and denying culpability, but I think the letter elevates this to wank status.

10:48pm: [GSN] 50 greatest wanks
Nothing is more wanky than seeing grown men on The Game Show Forum complain that GSN isn't airing the 50 Greatest Game Show specials the way these board members want them to. Latest wank: Jeopardy! is #2, but doesn't get a single episode aired, while Match Game at #1 gets two episodes (only one of which was noteworthy).

The 7-week run of specials on GSN has ended, but the wank continues. 152 pages and counting.

And you wonder why GSN is called "GSN" instead of "Game Show Network" now.

projectrunway is generally bordering on wank every three entries. You'd think the real wank would be about the actual show. Nope.

pateo asks if contestant Bradley is gay.

People have fun musing over it, mostly believing he is straight and repeating Tim Gunn's podcast joke that he can't be a very good gay if he doesn't know who Cher is.

mugabe does't think it should matter. And goes on a self-righteous crusade against sterotypes. Or something. You could easily just read the whole thing, but those are the highlights.
