So on the warlock forum, someone posted a link to a meant-to-be-funny article that conjectures--

Allow me to present what is probably the most blasphemous, yet perhaps the most elite of the members of the five-man team in this set: Jesus Christ, the human warlock. Don't worry. We'll be silencing all cries of "But Jesus should be a priest!" soon enough. Trust us, Judas is a priest, but Jesus is an uber Warlock.

Pretty mild. Not terribly funny if you ask me, but hey, not exactly flame-worthy offensive, right? Wrong.

Cue outrage that pretty quickly blossoms into an all-out atheism versus Christianity wank marathon: the page count was six when I looked yesterday, and has since more than doubled. Including whether Jesus would roll a shaman or a warlock, a diatribe on how atheism doesn't make your life better, among others. Choice bits:

Someone "fixes" (quotes with edits) the post to It's immateral, you can't make your own Flying Spaghetti Monster, thats called idolatry. Flying Spaghetti Monster made us, we did'nt make him.

yrdred: Well, not that any of this is relevant to the game but I just can't resist weighing in on this crap.

Shouldn't you, as a Christian, be spending the money you spend on WOW to, oh, I don't know, adopt a starving child, feed a bum on the street, or maybe take an interest in the suffering going on in the world around you? In fact, aren't you explicitly commanded to do so?

So the neil_gaiman comm on LJ has actually been actuve lately. Because one person has been posting at least once a day.

It starts with deleriumschild's intro, where it is reviealed she was bohemianbabe, and had left it a dramatastic way.

But she has moved on. Or not. She asks random questions that can be answered elsewhere, like s there a site that gives a breif synopsis of each sandman trade... and Why does everyone go to hell in Sandman?. No harm done so far, right?

She posts on Sunday that she went out while drunk and spent money she didn't have on the Sandman Companion and Absolute Sandman. This is largely ignored.

The next day, She posts again. And all hell breaks loose. And it seems the OP deleted most of the comments while I was sleeping, but I remember the first comment post saying that she should post this in her personal journal, because no on cares about her drunk purchasing habits. One of the only comments that survived:
Did you delete my comments to give people the impression I had said something horrible and nasty to you, when I fact all I did was point out how this kind of post might not be of interest to a community?

This will be deleted too for sure, but meanwhile, concerning you latest post, let me ask you this: What is even the POINT of posting in a community if you're going to disable comments? Communities are for interaction, for exchanging ideas. Otherwise you're just imposing yourself on people without giving them a chance to react.

And believe me, I've seen bullying, and nobody in this community did anything even remotely close to bullying you. I don't know where you get that.

In her latest post, she declares everyone meeen for calling her a ditz and saying that it wasn't exactly appropriate for the community. So now all of her entries will have comments disabled.

Edit: A majority of the wank has been deleted, I'm guessing by the mod, and there's a new post up.

This is a discussion community. There will be civil discourse or there will be banning. And anyone who posts and disables comments will have their posts deleted and their asses banned from here too. Especially if it's not discussed with me first. If you have a problem with someone, you come to me first. You don't just try running the comm by yourself. Dig?

For the moment, the comm is on moderate because a few people can't play nicely.
