: Uwe Boll: Don't Blame Me, Blame The Games!
I've seen this on Kotaku recently, one of the few gaming blogs that I read regularly, and I just had to post here about it a bit.
During a recent Fox News interview, Uwe Boll claims that the reason that gamers hate his movies isn't at all his fault, but that of the games that he adapts:
"A lot of video games have no story. I did the movie House of the Dead and got bashed and I said, what were you expecting, Schindler's List? I showed zombies chasing people and this is basically what the movie delivers. I don't know what they were expecting if you make a movie based on an ego shooter where you kill ninety minutes of people non-stop."
Pretty quickly it gets picked up by Joystiq and Kotaku, and the comments are, needless to say, not very pleasant.
