What always, always amuses me about Potter wank is the people who say that "oh wait, I really don't care about fandom's opinion" and then proceed to write up a giant rant about the fandom and disable comments. Not a bunch of wanking in this since the comments were disabled, unless you count the post alone which by itself is a big pile.

Heck, the girl just verifyed one of Aja's main charges- that out of spite one of Ivy's friends blocked her from her favorite website (on which, I guess, Aja was one of the BNF's). In fact, they blocked the whole school. Congratulations Phatkitty, you just deligitimized whatever position you were in to complain about the rant.

It is stupid. I can see, actually, why Aja would be pissed off, but the people whom it's really an offense to are the hostees. If Aja wanted to stop being banned, she could ask her friends to ask Ivy to change the .htaccess (I think you can change it so only certain pages are banned, yes?) so she could access those sites. I don't see why she didn't do that, as that would be far more likely to succeed. If Aja really wanted Ivy to look bad, she could just say, in one line "Ivy banned me from her entire domain. Petty much?" or "I am disappointed that Ivy won't let bygones be bygones and communicate with me like an adult" instead of posting that rant in which she manages to look like a scorned person ("Ivy, we coulda been so good together" 0_0 if you don't want to look like a stalker, you should steer clear of stuff like this) and accusing Ivy of billions of bad things which are in the pst, rather than the current offense. I have to say, I don't think Aja is really psycho, she just has poor impulse control and vents unproductively, but the regular vitriol towards those who piss her off is possibly why Ivy chose to take seriously some innocuous mocking. There are some things it's not a good idea to say even if you feel them, because they're too destructive. Of course, I don't know whether Ivy is really afraid of Aja, or she just chooses to act as though she is.

Well no. PPK just shows one potential way in which you could ban someone (or a group of people) from visiting a website. There has been no confirmation that a banning has happened or that the whole school is actually blocked.

Actually, the reason behind Aja's being blocked from Veela, Inc. was not related to Stacey (Phatkitty). The only connection you could perhaps make is the fact that Ivy is friends with Libertine, who owns Veela Inc and both of them happen to be friends with Stacey. (Not sure who did the actual blocking, whoever did it -- good on you!)

Ivy and Aja have issues that go way back, some say that Aja is jealous of Ivy, and all evidence seems to point in that direction... Aja says that Ivy is a bitch, and a selfish one at that, also the reason for Aja's disliking of Ivy. Aja would have been blocked from Veela Inc by Ivy or Libertine, not Stacey, who is not an admin/mod/owner there.

Is "completely batshit crazy" a prerequisite for joining HP fandom? Do they have questionnaires over at FAP where you need to list all the anti-psychotics you take on a daily basis? Were there people roving the Nimbus crowds with Thorazine spray guns to keep the loons under control?

The level of wank this fandom generates is absolutely amazing - harnessed, it could power all of California's energy for the next 16 years.

So let me try to get this; once upon a time Aja, Stacey and Ivy were friends/sucked up to the one and only Cassandra Claire and then they realized that they actually hated each other more than they wanted to suck up the BNFest of all BNF and have been flaming each other ever since. Stacey did it by writing so horrible things that no one ever revealed what they actually were, Aja mentions Ivy and a knife in the sentence (See me rolling on the floor laughing - not.) and Ivy blows that out of proportion [i]and[/i] bans Aja's whole school, because she can.

I recommend therapy. Lots of therapy.

This is the part where I ought to just pack up my bags and leave fandom. Luckily for me, although I've been a part of the HP fandom since --gasp-- at least as long as Flourish -- I am not a BNF. And all I have to say about that is thank GOD.

I read Aja's side of the story, and couldn't believe some of the responses she got. I mean, she needed to VENT, this girl was treating her like shit, stalking her, and harassing her over HAVING THE SAME FRIENDS! >_< Stacey needs to be bitchslapped with a restraining order, ASAP.
