I never understood the desperate need some folks have to explain these kerfuffles and recite their entire dull histories ad nauseaum. In all the years I've been in fandom, I've yet to see anyone a. change sides or b. become suddenly enlightened because of these rambling 30K treatises explaining exactly how your sweet BNF love went sour.

It all comes down to a love of hearing yourself wank. Which is all fine and good, if you keep in mind that neither your enemies or casual observers will care. In fact, it's all just a big been-there, done that, is there any fried ferret left?

Of course, there will always be a couple of psychos who get incited by Teh Drama, and that's what keeps it going. Typical.

I am an eternal silent lurker in the HP fandom, but jumping-freaking-loony-bin-wacko's, I simply can't resist sticking my oar in on this shameless and hilariously childish popularity contest. I neither know, nor care about any of the women involved, save for the highly enjoyable fanfiction they write, (except for CassieClaire, whose stories I stopped reading yonks ago when I realised *ahem*, that a great deal of her work isn't, in fact hers - which by the way is a far greater crime in fandom than any of the antics spouted from the other parties involved in this wank as far I'm concerned) but frankly I'd love to see the lot of them just shut their yaps now and grow the fuck up. You could have knocked me down with a feather when I realised they are supposedly women in their mid-twenties, or thereabouts. Eh?! Did they miss the transition into adulthood somewhere along the line?

Do they even have a relationship with one another in the real world, or is this all based on online friendships etc. ? If that's the case, then whoa mamma! A trip back into the real world wouldn't go amiss here either.

This public shit-stirring and teeny-bopper behaviour, (from *all* parties) that just *begs* for a piss-taking while entertaining to say the least, is when all is said and done, not what the majority of people who read their fanworks are interested in, or really give a toss about. I'd put money on it.
