Someone should stand at the doorway to the Harry Potter fandom and hand out welcome bags of prozac. Because the 'Abandon All Hope, Ye Who Enter Here' plaque is just not working.

I think critics of Harry Potter should focus less on the witchcraft aspect, and more on the fact that it turns otherwise sane individuals into raging assholes.

1. People inadvertently banned from a major fandom website because of a petty little personality conflict between other people.

2. The people who have websites on the veela domain whose sites were blocked from others without their permission.

Seriously. Ivy (or whoever did it) has the right to block anyone she wants to from her own site. It may be petty, but she has the *right* to do it. But blocking Aja and Slytherlynx and whoever else she banned from the entire veela domain with other people's sites other than her own, whose owners were not asked permission? She has no right to do that. She has the ability -- but NOT the right. That's worse than pettiness. No one hosted on that site is going to say anything because it'd be insane to get in the middle of this, but if I were one of them I'd feel pretty fucking pissed off that I wasn't even informed about it, let alone allowed to say whether allowed it to be done or not. That group becomes more of a dictatorship every day.

I'm sick from this whole thing.
