We reserve the right to read fandom_wank threads without a bunch of graphic porn popping up on our screens. No, we're not prudes. Some of us have kids running around and some of us read at work. Use your graphic icons in your own journals. If you must post something graphic in a fandom_wank post, put it behind a cut and mark it "not work friendly."

LOL! Wasn't somebody pointed and laughed at not too loog ago about demanding their friends put certain content behind cuts?

I'm a mod, but I say this as a wanker -- It's hardly ruining the wankery to ask that people show a little consideration to their fellow members. Can people play here without porn icons? Yes. It's hardly gonna hold them back from the real point of the community, which is pointing and mocking. Hell, they can mock the mods and their fellow members all they want, we don't care. Just try not to get anyone fired or make someone have to explain to their kid why that lady has a peepee in her mouth.

I have to regretfully agree with you there. I'm all for people using icons for free self-expression, but I check on f_w from school (probably like a heap of other people here). And my university is kind of puritanical about internet use, so I'd really prefer not to be accused of downloading porn and have them do horrible perverse things to me. People are prudes. It sucks, but that's how things are and I don't want anyone to get fired or in trouble with their academic institution of choice.

	The point is, if you surprise people with stuff that's not work friendly, they'll bitch at you. Both times I've seen a f_w member mess up, someone has explained that the icons weren't work friendly. The person said "oops" and took it down. Just about all the items in the list are too fuzzy to be made into rules... it's more like a list of our pet peeves. (Reply to this)(Parent)
