Wank-Related Quitting
Fatboy Roberts has been around for a lot of bitchy Star Wars fansite wanks (a sample of his bile). Now he's quiting. We're losing a great master of SW fandom snark and bitchiness.

But luckily, he left us with a loving 'fuck-you' to SW fansites in general:
And I see grown men clawing their own eyes out over the internet like a crew of common catfighting cunts, because someone leaked a picture of Count Dooku early. People are committing identity theft on a regular basis so they can be the first to tell unnapreciative greedy geeks who the new villain in Episode I is, and for what? For the people on the messageboards? They don't give a shit who gives what to them, they more than likely don't even remember where they heard it from. And even if they do, the chances they'll believe it is low because Star Wars is apparently so personal to these pinheads who grew up with it that any idea of Star Wars that isn't theirs sounds like SHIT to them.

I feel kinda weird about posting this, because he was, or is soon to be, my former co-mod, and I think he's hilarious. You gotta love a guy who labels himself the 'anti-fanboy.'

I am in awe of this man and his wanks. If even half of what he says in those two threads, you linked, is true, SW actually surpasses HP in pure wankiness. Unbelievable.


Has anyone here ever covered the wankiness that (according to Roberts) is theforce.net? Seems to be Class A wank material.

Well, we've got what, 15 years on HP? ;)

TFN is very wanky, but it doesn't really translate all that well into fandom_wank terms; either it's deleted, not public, or moderated to death. You'd need to find a really hardcore TFNer or anti-TFNer to document it all - the forums.starwars.com link I posted is the next best thing... At least that I'm aware of.

Someone on LJ mentioned something about Star Wars OFCs to me earlier today. I asked her what an OFC was:

An Old Fucking Character?

She told me that OFC stands for Original Female Character.

I like my interpretation of the acronym more. Darth Sidious is the original Old Fucking Character.

I've been going to NG since...shit. Five years ago. I'm user #15 in their rankings (out of something like 100000 users. My username on NG is Kitty). I remember when The Portal was still all HTML with 17 movies. I be old skool NG, yo.
