"Quiet You NON-Spidey Fans.... idiots"
So, the JB wank reminded me of a small kurfuffle I witnessed on the Superhero Hype boards, where some enraged Spidey fan complained that Spiderman was getting too mainstream. Once again, classic case of "n00bs sux0rs."

When others point out that more fans = better franchise, OP leaves in a huff, but not without calling the forum a "WANNABE spidey fan board."

So cute...so wanky...

::pinches OP's fat ickle cheeks::

Oh, for the halcyon days of Nicholas Hammond's dangerous, cutting-edge 70s portrayal. Surely he was the One True Spider-Man. This cocoa tastes like crack.

Naw, the Spidey on The Electric Company was cutting edge. Hell, he was so cool, he didn't even have to talk!

Ah, another one who remembers those days. I never missed The Electric Company BECUASE of Spidey being on it (even as I got older) and I have always been a fan of the Ralph Bakshi cartoons - bad animation and all. Way too cool!

Because, you know, Spiderman was actually underground even though there were all those cartoons about him. And almost everyone knew who 'Peter Parker' was.

Psh.
