From the fandom that never stops. Again.
On the ever-lively subject of H/H vs R/H, Pallas Athena calls Angua9 out on using terms such as "crazy talk" to dismiss the other side of debates, including the word "perverse" apparently used two months ago, and appeals to her to set an example by "elevating the discourse" of... ship debates. Oh, well.
(I don't know any of the history of this, but it sounds like a fountain of wank in itself.)
To which Angua9 replies with an absolute mistresspiece of wank.
Highlights include: I hope if I make claims which are illogical or farfetched or “crazy” that someone will inform me of it, rather than allowing me to persist in my delusional beliefs.
To which Mad Eyed Mike responds:
Angua,
I'm glad you said this because I personally find your arguments and supposed canon evidence to be both nonsensical and extremely delusional. Everything from logical conclusions and common sense to taking into account realistic HP character motivations is lacking and in my opinion, some of your arguments border on insanity.
But my hands-down favourite would be Angua9 herself, with:
You like to project an image of yourself as a “goddess” come down from on high to dispense wisdom to the masses. Well, I have an image of myself, too. I think of myself as a tart McGonagall-type teacher, crusty but not cruel, demanding very high standards of logic and expression, earnest, business-like, and somewhat lacking in charm and sympathy. I believe that “nonsense” and other such terms fit well with this role. Perhaps I have been egocentric to see myself this way, but I believed that my advanced age and experience and my very great efforts to make myself an expert on canon and JKR quotes made such a pose allowable.
Dear FictionAlley. What would we all do without you?
