Marysues Wank is Back!
Hmm, this is my first time posting here, so if you think it doesn't meet fandom requirements or if my involvement somehow detracts from the humor in this, then I'll gladly take it off and post it to the appropriate journals.

But, once again, the Marysues journal has been hit. This time by an innocuous post about a Gravitation Sue. Yet, this isn't the same rant of straight vs. yaoi as the post that starts the whole thing has nothing to do with the story!

People become confused.

Apparently, she found a story of hers that was reported six months ago in the Newsies section. Instead of the usual humorous vitriol like calling everyone "cocksucking lesbians" she threatens legal action. Again, people become confused because it was Newsies fiction and posted in the Newsies section. She declares it's original, despite the fact that it was originally posted there and a sockpuppet says something grammatically incorrect that leads us to believe Jack is the same character, but since she moved it to fictionpress.com, they have no right.

People call her on it afterwards.

Such a tiny wank and already Goodwin's Law and something along Snacky's (no mention of high school, but we do have maladjusted bullies) have been tapped. *sniffles* So quickly it splurts.

::sniffs:: *cough* Smells like wank to me!

Is there a law or corollary anywhere that states that, no matter how respectful, useful and informative your post may be, if you actually post the entire dictionary definition of a word, including pronunciation and etymology, you have just joined your opponent in the circle of wank?

::wipes screen::

Oh, and the copyright wank is priceless, partly because of the smackdowns that contain some pretty darned useful information (thankfully, with no pronunciation codes.) Mmm. Berne Convention.

Where was I?

::wipes screen again and reads on::

Oooh, there are arguments about Nazis and Medievalism. It's wankerrific! Most entertaining. Bravo.

Found Humpty's Law, and considering how recent it is, I must have the attention span of a gnat. Heh.

Nazi comments! I'm waiting for the 'You're the mean girls in school' comments. And seriously, I think demanding to see someone's stories before they can be 'allowed' to review yours should be some kind of a law, if it isn't already.

a medieval romance can take place in any time era

... this is not earth logic.

I think she means "chivalric romance" which, if you REALLY REALLY wanted to stretch it, could possibly occur in other time periods, but I haven't the courage to read the story and see if it holds up.
