I kinda tend to think it's bull since there are so many picturs out there that show the LOTR cast being affectionate (I think it was OB and Viggo that took a pic touching tongues). So he doesn't seem like the kind of guy who'd screech that he's not gay. (That and Ian McKellan has cracked Legolas-kissing jokes before without provoking OB's ire.)

*shrugs* the whole deal matters very little to me in the grand scheme of things, but I do so love the way in which this wank is played out.

It was Viggo and Dom Monaghan that took that pic, actually. But yeah, your point still stands. That, and Orlando hasn't been particularly big on talking about his girlfriend, so snapping like that seems a bit out of character.

*shrugs* Either way, I've never seen Orlando display himself as being worried about stuff like that, so if that did happen, then we are obviously missing part of the puzzle.

LOL I knew it was Viggo and somebody. I have seen shots of OB kissing various other cast members which leads me to believe he's not exactly a giant homophobe. It's definitly very strange that someone as openly affectionate as that would be attatched to such a quote. I don't exactly follow the LOTR actors personal lives so I don't have much of a leg to stand on here, but I've seen a ton of wankage about whether he even has a girlfriend *shakes head* (In fact I've seen other people claim to BE his girlfriend but that's an entirely different wank right there...)

Thanks for setting me straight about the Dom/Vig thing though. One doesn't have to reach very far to understand why there's so much RPS in the LOTR fandom. LOL

I'll see that John and Yoko, and raise you two sweet Mexican boys who kissed onscreen, have been best friends since nappies, spend hours on the phone, look possessive of each other in most of their photos (www.charolastras.com - can't throw a stick without a photo of them mackin' on each other), and talk about each other incessantly in interviews, no matter how short the blurb.

	I was thinking the same thing. I'm not a LoTR actor expert, but from what [little] I've seen Orlando seems to be a nice funloving guy, so I really doubt he would throw a Tom Cruiseish hissy fit like that. Obviously those aren't Orlando's words and certainly not his sentiment. He kisses his male friends all the time. Is Robin working overtime or what?

I somehow can't imagine Orlando going off like what was said in the article, but who knows.
