OMG! I'm going to SUE!!!
Does wank ever get any more perfectly succinct than this?

The backstory (as best I can tell): Miss KJ won a fanfiction contest and is pissed at the loser. Various board members and sockpuppets show up to argue both sides, and at some point, someone posts examples of KJ's haiku. KJ freaks out.

Is there a law about invoking lawyers? If there isn't, there should be.

(The Godawful Fanfiction Board has been spectacularly wanky lately, what with the influx of trolls and the members' temper tantrums that the site admin won't post all user IPs so they'll be able to tell that someone who posts "U R STOOPID EAT SHITE AND DIE!!!!!!" is a troll and not someone with new and insightful commentary.)

That looks really troll-like to me...then again, I try never to underestimate the ability of people to be Really, Really Stupid.

A post about being a better writer than someone else, complete with awful grammar, spelling and lack of attention to the apostrophe, followed by all-caps ranting and swearing?

Yeah, well, what else is new? It's been over a year since that place was anything more than a big sticky circle jerk.

This has to be one of my favorites of late. Sure, it doesn't have the awe-inspiring tenacity of one of those huge threads that devour the front page because none of the regulars can STOP FEEDING THE GODDAMN TROLLS, but I think it has a quaint charm all its own.

You think you're getting all the story? My dear folks this wank dates back 5 years at least. At this point me and a friend are planning to gather our ressources and write the definitive guide to JCdom and all reasons to avoid it. This is just the latest keruffle and you are only picking up on contest and yahoogroup stuff...the real goods take place in the chatrooms.

The people who are fighting now are not even the same ppl who were fighting back then, yet the story remains the same....

I find it quite amusing, its like watching history repeat itself or something.

I never accused KJ, the winner, of cheating. I never emailed her and called her a loser. Also, I seriously doubt that ANY of the "KJ" posts on GAFF are the real KJ. I think we're dealing with a third party troll out to get us both, or perhaps just an escaped mental patient.

Oh my god. Oh, my freaking god. If that's who I think it is...

My family has AOL at home. I mostly used it to get online and hung out in AOL's Mystery Science Theatre boards. Back in the mid-90s, there was this guy by the screen name of Keiji KJ. He was this creepy stalker who claimed that he made bots that were better than those used in the show, and he went to the cons and was a huge jerk. I heard some vague rumor that he'd met Mike or Joel and done something to really freak him out, but I don't know whether or not that's true. He was the most pompous, ridiculous asshole I've ever seen. At the time everyone called him a troll, but looking back I realize that it was uncut, 100% pure Colombian wank. Wank like you couldn't believe. I'm going to have to see if there's any of it left in the really old folders to quote for you, because I can't even come up with words to describe how wanklicious this guy was. A couple of years later (can't have been later than '97 or '98), he just sort of vanished and never came back. People around there still talk about him.

If this is him, I'm going to laugh until I die.

If it isn't, well... erm... If that's the case, then what the hell's up with massive trolls using KJ as an internet name? Is it part of some kind of secret code they use to communicate with each other?

The Voyager Blue Alert fanfiction contest, for NC-17 fic only, is run by the "Bitches at Blue Alert" whose identities have long been a secret.

Then shortly after the results of the last Voyager Blue Alert were announced, someone congratulated KJ for running a great contest. They also congratulated KJ for winning the same contest.

KJ immediately began to have a tantrum because she had been accused of cheating. She got herself banned from the JCMB, the fandom's most heavily used flame board.

Naturally, to attract attention away from her ownership of VBA, she has now returned to her previous wank, the horror of Anne Rose posting a link to her stories! This is related to a dispute of the anti-slash rule in a contest called Ripples in the Pond, a wank that has sucked dozens of individuals into its vortex.

Apparently not enjoying graphic lesbian porn is a sign of intolerance and bigotry.

Also an interesting fact: This "girl" KJ is a grandmother.

I know KJ, and this is not her -- and I realize that the links do go to her site. Big deal, anyone can put in a link to somewhere else. This quote finally made me decide I have to say something.

Naturally, to attract attention away from her ownership of VBA, she has now returned to her previous wank, the horror of Anne Rose posting a link to her stories! This is related to a dispute of the anti-slash rule in a contest called Ripples in the Pond, a wank that has sucked dozens of individuals into its vortex.

Apparently not enjoying graphic lesbian porn is a sign of intolerance and bigotry.

The story in question had two women having a lunch date, their first public date as a couple, hardly "graphic lesbian porn". It was written after Anne stated in a public chat that slash was "m/m or f/f sex". There is no f/f sex, but Anne disqualified it. However... she kept the story -- she was hosting all the stories -- and posted it. Readers could read it after seeing that it didn't fit the rules but not vote on it. Why did she do that? Only Anne knows.

After the contest, Anne continued to host KJ's story and not another single story. She refused for some time to take it down and when she did she linked to where KJ had the stories --after KJ asked her to not do so. Any author has the right to tell someone not to link to them.

Now you have the story and I doubt any of you will believe it. Some of you are former J/Cers and know what a bitch Anne is. For many of you, Anne is the reason you left the fandom. Standing back and watching KJ's rep trashed, by someone who obviously knows KJ's out of town this weekend, is something you should be ashamed of.

I also know Anne -- much to my disgust -- and that last sentence "Apparently not enjoying graphic lesbian porn is a sign of intolerance and bigotry." is one she has used before. Repeatedly. Makes me wonder.
