Wheeeee! The whole thing is pretty priceless. I especially love the paragraphs dedicated to how he/she/it has a right to espouse his/her/its opinions and those who disagree are probably those who follow the crowd and fuck them. It's always just fab when someone busts out with the "I have a right to post my opinion, but fuck your opinion if it is counter to mine" type post.

My favorite bit though as to be: These sheep- these driveling nitwits simply pervert and pollute all of which I believe in- not to mention that which I am almost certain Mr. Depp himself stands for.

Gee, if he disliked shallow, ignorant fans who think he's Teh Hawt and don't appreciate his capital-T Talent, seems like he'd... oh I dunno... maybe NOT make a movie based on a Disney ride? It always seemed to me that Depp likes to totally disappear into a character. When you watch him on the screen sometimes Depp ceases to exist and all you see is George Jung, Raoul Duke, Ichabod Crane, or Sparrow. If his ego was as big as judas_iscariot's, it seems like he'd have difficulty accomplishing that. So... while she may be a major fan, I don't get that she has any idea about what he "stands for."

If we could wave a magic wand and eliminate all the projection that goes on in fandom, the world would be a much less wanky place. That'd be bad, I suppose.

I find it hilarious that judas_iscariot proclaims how she won't abide by flaming and asks that folks not read this if they are easily offended (which of course guarantees a) they WILL read it to see if it is offensive; and b) flame her arse because they are offended). She is, after all, experssing her God given right to freedom of speech...

Then tells everyone to FUCK OFF if their opinion differs from hers...

AND has cross posted to several communities. Now, if that's not going to guarantee a) people are going to read this...and possibly a lot of them; b) that they are going to have differing opinions on what she wrote; c) some of which are going to be highly offended people, since they are the ones she's complaining about; and d) are going to flame her arse because hell, it's a public post, in a community, so they too are exercising their God given right to free speech - if they are American, and some non-Americans too, I don't know what is.

For once, FOR ONCE, I'd like folks to admit, "Hey, I'm here stating my opinion and it's gonna piss a lot of people off, but I'm gonna state it anyway, because I can. Now it's your turn to state your opinions, all of which count. Knock yourselves out!

Heh...am I gonna be that person? Dunno if I have the balls and the stamina to deal with the possible flames.
