I think Spike is every woman's fanasy, IMO (especially us older women) who have experienced life, love, and heartbreak. I think I would be willing to look beyond a man's faults,if I knew he was willing to sacrifice so much for me. At times I want to hit Buffy and ask, "Are you supid?!".Angel may be "nice looking", but he's let her down and hurt her to many times, I think it's time for her to acknowledge her 'real love' has 'been there'in front of her and has been unselfish and undemanding in his love for her.

Well, right, but it'd be pretty difficult to say that if she hadn't stopped him, he wouldn't have gone through with it. The writers made it pretty clear throughout that whole season that most of the time, when Buffy was having sex with him, she was doing so because she wanted an easy reason to hate being alive again. She wanted to be violated, and so it could be argued that every time Spike was having sex with her, he was raping her, because he was only fulfilling her self-destructive needs, rather than her desire to, you know, actually be with him.

Ah well. They closed the original thread. But. There's a Part 2!

Which was rapidly turning into a discussion on the Buffy cast's underwear *boggles*, but then Buffy_Rocks apparently couldn't let it go:

I believe that Spike is more of a threat to the mission (since that's what Buffy is so worried about) than any other character. I think that Buffy should deal with him at once because it is very likely (just my sepculation) that the First Evil will use him to it's advantage again. Part of my dislike towards SPike is due to Buffy's attitude towards him. She, for some reason (B/S Shippers say it's because she loves him but each to their own), does not want to let him leave. Just like Dawn was injured, something much worse can and probably will happen later on considering what ME has done this in the past. I'm really angry at how the writers keep disregarding the other orginal amd much more interesting characters (where in the hell was Xander last week) to give us more of SPike. I'm not the only one who feels this way. (Am I wrong Animal Crackers).

Why do I get the feeling she's the only one who really cares about the debate, and that everyone else is just fucking with her? Oh, right. Because they are.

Anyway, more of the same stuff as the original thread, and then a picture war between the Marsters fans and the Boreanaz fans.

Beware the naked Giles pic on page 2. *shudders*

At this point, I'm more interested in figuring out where vt_slayer's avatar came from than anything else. At first I thought it was Willow licking the stomach of somebody with an "outie" belly-button. Upon closer inspection, however, it appears that it's just her thumb sticking out. And I can't really remember an episode where Willow licked anybody quite like THAT...could it be Vamp Willow maybe?

It is Vamp Willow, but I think it's from Dopplegangland -- VW doesn't use the neck-licking thing in the Wish. I can't tell who she's licking, though -- it's either Sandy aka random chick in the Bronze (who later shows up as a vampire whom Riley dusts in S5) or herself -- real!Willow. I lean towards Willow/Willow cos a) hot and b) I think she licked Sandy from the other side, and c) going back to my geek!cave now, please shun me.

The fact that the thread title is "Does Spike Suck? - An Intelligent Debate" is fucking hysterical in and of itself, just for the close proximity of "suck" and "intelligent."

Buffy is my favorite show, but dear fucking gods, the fandom scares the living shit out of me on a thrice-daily basis. And that's on slow days.

Yeh the animosity in that thread ran out to fast, personally i blame the pictures of naked Giles.

This one is a little better James Marsters is so gay!.
It got the ALL CAPS, the lack of spelling, and the general yelling. But my favorite calling an actor gay and fag because the character he plays tried to rape a woman, thats just funny.

Besides the ad itself is a little wanky.
