Mugglenet.com (along with many other HP news sites) reported about an interview Emma Watson (aka Hermione Granger) gave to a French magazine. In the interview, she states that she hopes Hermione never has to kiss either Harry or Ron, because she thinks of the actors who play them as if they were brothers. The interviewer then asks:

If Hermione doesn't fall in love with Ron or Harry, whom do you see her with?

Emma responds: I hope she doesn't get with anybody! If she had to have a crush on a guy, I think he would have to be very serious, very academic. Why not a Hogwarts' teacher? I think that would be appropriate for her character. But she would definitely be embarrassed with the age difference.

Uh oh. A mention of student/teacher relationships, and Emma Watson daring to hypothesize (and possibly joke) about her character. Cue the wank on the comment board.

Honestly, this interview only justifies more presicely what I have thought about our dear Emma Watson. She is a Harry Potter ignoramus. She has either terribly poor reading comprehension, or she hasn't read the books at all. She obviously knows nothing about her character. OK, I think we all knew that she was nothing like Hermione, but the fact that she can misjudge her so openly is beyond reason. Just because you are clever and smart and serious about school doesn't mean you have to date someone just like you (a teacher, I almost fainted at the prospect!). No, I am exactly like Hermione, everyone one I know thinks so, and I must confess that I have a bit of a crush on someone whose personality is very similar to Ron's. I've discovered that people, especially those like me who are like Hermione, are most attracted to people opposite them. Opposites attract! The fact that Emma Watson can't recognize this (especially if she read Goblet of Fire) just proves that she is not similar to Hermione in the slightest: she is the dumbest girl on the face of the Earth. I am deeply dissappointed that such a dumb girl plays the brilliant Hermione that I know I (and probably everyone else here) could represent much better. The final word is that Emma Watson simply doesn't do Hermione justice. She is a "disgrace to the name of wizardry."

Hpnumba1fan you need to mind ur own business. Im entitled to post anything I want and that's why I'll say it right now Emma Watson suckz. I mean come on, she's 13 and dresses like a sl**! By the age of 15 she'll be worser than Christina Aguilera! I feel sorry for her parents, lolz! Her acting is terrible, she needs to go to acting skool! Personally Im upset that shes doign GOF but I hope that she wont do OOTP or the 6th or 7th book!!! She ruins the whole charecter of Hermione Granger!!!!

You all need to read some good magnificent literary works, like my "His Dark Materials" Trilogy. These literary masterpiece will stimulate the mind not dull it like the stupid JKR does with her gay Harry Potter. The adventures of Lyra are so much better than the stupid Harry Potter child that lived. My Lyra lived through alot more than Harry has. My Lyra went into hell and back. So why don't you stop reading about this stupid Harry Potter and read something good!
