Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Current mood:energetic
Current music:My December - Linkin Park

My Friends of Josh Groban membership cost me $50.00. I figure this works out as:

Discount on album - $5.00
Calendar - $5.00
T-Shirt - $10.00
Assorted 'Exclusive' Media (almost all available on WinMX if you look for it) - $10.00
Discount on concert tickets (not used, because he's not singing anywhere near where I live) - $10.00
Shipping and Handling - $10.00
1 Year's Unlimited Access to the black hole of festering wank that is the FoJG Messageboard - priceless

So today, we have Yehamema, who apparently won a lunch with her Idol, and is wailing that she forgot to steal his used water bottle.

Yes! It's true! When I had my wonderful, fantastic, unbelievable lunch with Josh, I was the last one to leave the room!!

Picture It!! There is Josh's water bottle on the table!! It's calling out to me, saying, "TAKE ME! TAKE ME!" And I'm thinking, "I WANT TO! I WANT TO! But do GRANDMA's do things like that?" Arrrggghhhh! I left that "cotton pickin" water bottle on the table!

I know! I know! I have been kickin' myself ever since! To think it might have been THROWN AWAY!! Oh Perish The Thought!! Well, THIS Grandma surely learned HER lesson. You can bet your bottom dollar I won't be leaving the NEXT ONE! I'll get that sucker so fast it won't know what hit it! And you won't be seein' it on E-Bay either! It will have a place of honor with my autographed picture of Josh, along with my other special treasures!

So does anybody say, "er... lady... it's an empty bottle that might have some of his spit on the rim?" Nope.

JeanneGrobanite: OOOohhhhhh, Ginger!!!!!!!!! What a sad, sad, sad, thing to have happened...... Never, ever let another golden Josh opportunity like that ever slip away from you!!!!! I for one would have (as you said) "grabbed that sucker so fast it wouldn't know what hit it!" I'm soooo sorry for your loss.

(I'm afraid the above loses something by my not being able to include the emoticons sprinkled througout it.)

Tiggy624: oh... what an opportunity! I could've taken one too... but I didn't want to look to psychotic in front of my friends that already think I'm beyond obsession... lol.... but the security around him that stuck around afterwards (this is at the Sherway signing in Toronto) gave me his Sharpie! lol it was a lot of fun! I was just telling everyone I knew that I got the pen that Josh signed with! lol even though he didn't really touch it... but it was in the general vicinity... so it counts... right? lol

Bostonian4life: THUD!! Josh's lip cells and germs are all over that!!

Joni: I know I absolutely would have taken the water bottle ... it's sad that so many of us care WAY TOO MUCH about what other people might think of us. The most important thing SHOULD be what WE think of us ... in fact, just being a Grobanite is hard to admit sometimes, especially to "older, more mature" people. Got to get over those inhibitions!

jgrulestheworld: How lovely that some of you got to meet up for lunch. I wonder what the main topic of conversation was........hmmmmm???? Could it have been "our" Josh?? Neah...........probably not. Whatever gave me that idea?? I was just giggling at Bostonian4Life's comments about Josh's lips and germs being all over the bottle. Oh......cor.....what a delicious thought (his lips not the germs). THUD....THUD....THUBBADUBDUB!! (That last one's a Thud plus palpitations as well!) As for your comments Joni. I agree wholeheartedly. Why should we care what other people think. We are having a ball. It is them we should be actually feeling sorry for because they haven't been "Joshed" yet!! I think if I ever have the thrill of meeting Josh face to face, I will be trying to catch the air he breathed into a bottle....never mind picking up any rubbish he has left behind....heheh!! Oh I don't care anyway. I'm too far gone to care and kind of proud of it too!

Me, I'm just thinking about the other things I could have spent that $50 on, and wondering if the guy actually reads this messageboard.

You know...there's really not much you can say to that.

Well, except that I, personally, wouldn't want Jason's Perrier bottle from this shoot (*points to icon*) because he also said "I'm an actor; I kiss everybody." Um, ew.

My sister collects water bottles along with autographs, but just in a joking, boy-this-is-silly-thing way. She'll laughingly ask for the bottle (autographed), and normally the person will laugh along with her and do it.

Stealing a water bottle because it has a celebrity's DNA on it? *points, laughs*

I forget where, but I once read about someone going all geeky and fangirly after stealing one of Bob Dylan's cigarette butts...

Maybe she wants to clone her Joshie-poo.... Poor guy, having to have lunch with completely insane fans... Yet another reason to add to my 'why I'm glad I'm not famous' list.

My reading of the wank came to a screeching halt as I had to go back and read that over again just to be certain I did (and praying I didn't) read it right.

Fangirly Grammas scare me. o_o

"Grandma? What's that on the mantel?"

"Josh Groban's water bottle! Woo, you should have seen your grandma take out the waiter trying to throw it away. I tackled that boy and ran, holding my prize over my head like a trophy! Ha, how many of your friend's grandmas have a celebrity's spit? Huh? How many?"

The rabidity of some fangirls never ceases to amaze me. That's most of why I became the world's one and Only Rabid Jaken Fangirl (see icon). It's fun making heads turn, and at least I don't have to worry about my fellow fangirls embarrassing me!

Used waterbottles.... I don't even want to think about whether they use them themselves or not.

Feh... the water bottle thing is kid's stuff! What you really want is to take your fork and stab him, so that Josh Groban's sweet, sticky blood seeps out of his perfect body. Then you lick it up before it can hit the cold, merciless ground, because having having Josh's blood inside you is practically like sex!

CALL ME, JOSH!! CALL ME!!!!!!

o.O

Dude, I have one of Peter Tork's half-full water bottles from this summer (yeah, yeah, it was just a Goofy Fan Thing™) but I sure as hell wouldn't have kicked myself if I hadn't gotten it (or rather, hadn't remembered to ask my braver friend to get it for me) and I don't worship the bloody thing; only reason I stare at it is because it's right in my line of vision when I'm sitting at my desk. And should I ever have children or grandchildren they'll have to be content with a story, since the bottle will probably be long gone.

Some people really need to get a grip.

Well now. And here I felt like a fangirly idiot for getting a couple of Matchbox Twenty's guitar picks and erecting a shrine and hiring monks to pray at it's base at sundown each evening putting them in a scrapbook frame.

Baffled. Simply baffled. o_O

The most disturbing thing about this? I suddenly remembered that I have a piece of a flimsy pie tin from a NKOTB concert I went to. They threw pies at one another. They tossed the pie tin into the audience. I was fifth row center at Madison Square Garden.

I still have it 15 years later.

Sadly, I was not forward-thinking enough to snag any DNA. omgourloveissocloned!!!!11!!! <--that could have been me and Clone!Donnie, right there.
