There's wank HERE and HERE and HERE!
As I've reported before, the Xanderzone community has often been a hotbed for wank...but for the first time, I can finally have a wank from this list that's entirely UNRELATED to slash! This time, it's related to Xanderbashing and fanfic.

A few weeks ago, a member of the list posted a message marked 1. which consisted of its at fanfiction net submit a review heres the link

Story by the wonderful SailorSalor Earth (apparently, it couldn't be Sailor Earth because FFnet is EVOL or something...and she seems to love writing "you do the math" on her summaries, but that's neither here nor there)

Following this, a great deal of the people from the list visited the story, read it, and then left reviews. Most of them weren't positive, or very friendly, but for the most part stayed away from actual flaming and focused on the complete OOCness of the characters (to their minds). Honestly, it wasn't flamey. A bit repetitive, and some where forceful, but no attacks on the author really. Tame for these peoples. Following this, we then have a nice long discussion on the list about how much the story
2. One thing i notic it might be wrong or it might not be.

I've left a strong review. Never mind if you think the lie was
wrong, if you witness Cordy and Giles' reaction to Buffy hiding the
return of ANgel there's no way in hell they'd disagree with Xander's
lie. The only one to support Buffy would have been WIllow because
she's a sheep and because of the challenge of casting the spell,
she'd feel it was an insult not to be allowed. Xander's motivation -
vengenance, punishment, jealously, is largely irrelevant (I'd rule
out jealousy - hell, Cordy anybody?) whatever the reason he solved
the world. If he hadn't told the lie Buffy wouldn't have gone all
out and died, world would have ended. FACT.

I think the lie where the right thing to do.
But what i was wondering about is the fact that i feel like more
femles fans think it was wrong. while more of us MALE think it was
right.
It seem like many NOT ALL female thinks that love is the greatest
exuse of them all and it can be forgiven becuse they where in love
and you chall not stand in the way of love fore any reson.. BAD
Xander it was only the fath of earth...

(And I find it funny that they think the entire list is made of men. ::raises her hand as a long suffering standing member of the group who thinks this simplification is "more then a little annoying..." to quote Uncle)
and why. I'm posting only the best of this malarky, cause there was a damn lot of it.

Now, a few days ago, many of the people who wrote reviews for this story have had their FFnet accounts spammed with bad feedback by an anonymous reviewer who simply puts in a paragraph of "THIS STINKS!" over and over again, and boy are they
3. Okay, now I really want to hunt this person down and give him/her a solid
beating with my metal baseball bat. Who's with me? I just recieved one review
each for at least seven of my stories at ff.net, all with - take a wild guess -
THIS STINKS! repeated over and over.
I think there are only a few explanations for the fact that at least three
authors here have been hit by this person. One of those explanations is that
she/he has a grudge against members of XanderZone. We really need to find out
who this person is and give him/her a stern talking to.

(Some suspect trickery...)
The chances are excellant that the offending person is one of the
lurkers here in the group. I have no facts to back it up just a
feeling.
If we checked new members since we reviewed that, and Im being polite
here, POS story, we could narrow it down...
This is why I gave up on FFnet. The owners wont do anything about it
and may be involved, who knows?
Just my opinion.

Dammit, this is why I don't (can't) accept unsigned reviews anymore.
What a bloody waste of it is to delete them all.

dunno if they're targeting XanderZone members - I'm pretty much a lurker here
and I just checked out the only fic I have on ff.net. Guess what? 7 reviews with
This stinks! repeated. It's not even a BtVS fic for crying out loud! It doesn't
bother me much because I lost faith with ff.net a *long* time ago and haven't
bothered updating anything on there for a while.
I've decided to take it as a kind of perverse compliment I think, if the idiot
decided to spend all that time reviewing a Star Wars fic based on a review I did
of an anti-Spuffy story then I guess I should appreciate the time and care they
took over actually reading it and giving me constructive criticism.
Oh, while I'm posting just wanted to add - I don't review the fics I read on
here often enough but I am in absolute awe of you guys! One of these days I may
work up the courage to post something of my own!

Well, at the end of this all, the Xanderzone writers have continued to be spammed, the story seems to have been removed from FFnet, but there is still talk of metal baseball bats and cricket mallets, and the like. Fun, no? I <3 fandom sometimes...
