Anne Perry wank It starts with a simple question on the Off-topic board of a romance novel review site: How much do we REALLY want to know about an author? Unfortunately the poster mentions Anne Perry. maggie b./BKay disagree on Who had the brick and who has the better sources. Adele Ashworth calls Anne a "gifted story" teller and gets flamed by Maili for it, with a hearty and wanky "Hell, if I knew that I'd get paid in atoning myself by writing stories about violence, I should have gone ahead in beating that journalist to death for badgering my mum, making her cry, with those questions about the abduction. Dale responds to Adele with "Well sure she does she is writing from experience. I have read her and find her so, so. I was not impressed. Let's hope that the writing world does not take into their heads to believe that in order to write murder you have to murder. " Elizabeth wanks with I care that buying a book for entertainment is making a convicted, premeditated murderer benefit directly from the crime she committed. (Her expertise on murder based on real life.), suggest Anne should write about Pygmy goats and drags Roman Polanski into the discussion. The reply from PB? -- Why? You would still be directly supporting a convicted murderer by buying her books on pygmy goats. Why does the mystery angle matter more than the end result?" Karen calls Anne a killer, Morwen accuses Karen of throwing "the first stone" and advocating death penalties for thirteen-year-olds. Karen assures Morwen that "I won't kill you. Kerstin mentions Dickens' marital abuse and Margaret Mitchell's porn collection, to which Maili replies with a fairly sensible post, if you don't count the last paragraph: If anyone murdered a member of my family and proceeded to write murder mysteries, I'd be really, really p****d off. So, choosing to write novels about murders is just about the same as sticking the middle finger up to the murder victim's family. Personally, I hold no respect for anyone who does that. That applies to Anne Perry. Unfair? Not for the victim's family. Also dragged in Clinton's adultery, Dubya's drug abuse, statements like "I'd never read a romance writer who is a rapist", troll accusations pile up, Pee Wee Herman, Hugh Grant and O.J. Simpson make appearances, Jane Austen was a nympho and it is all Peter Jackson's fault. It's like LOTR fandom in a way. Post a comment in response: |
