LJ Biz Wank
I was just reading LJ Biz and well, what do you know?

Eurisko97 thinks that the taking away invite codes will mean the end of quality on LJ.

Brad Fitz points out that Eurisko97 an elitist.

Eurisko97 cries that Brad didn't read a word written. But Brad slams him by quoting the post.

Of course, d4b wants to vote this guy off the island.

Mini wank ensues.

Oh yes. Eurisko97 tells us that the reason he can't spell is that he is grading English papers and doesn't care about his own mistakes.

"I'm presently grading English Finals. I have no time to care about spelling when I sneak over to Livejournal in my spare time.

Furthurmore, I am not a big fan of "symbolic violence." Whenever I make a spelling mistake that results from my accent or how I happen to pronounce a word, I could care less."

Jesus H. There was a time when I thought that "people who can't, teach" saying was a load of BS, but now I'm really starting to wonder.

I mean, oh my fucking god. *weeps*

Fandom is going to make me not want to be an English teacher anymore.

A whole bunch of pretentious intellectuals arguing about "enculturation".... a word that does not even exist. (watch, someone will link to a dictionary that has decided it is a legal bastardization of "acculturation") The troller totally lost me at the point where s/he said people should have to get licenses to be on the internet.

I also think [info]eurisko97 should pull his nose down out of the clouds for two freakin' seconds and realize he keeps trowing out an imaginary word. He's already been corrected what . . . six times already?

English teacher my ass.

"Throwing," dammit! I was NOT trying to affect an accent! :P

Thank you, I'll be here all week!

IT'S A GUNDAM!

(*insert 'Bambi meets Gojira' here*)

What's incredibly sad is I believe this 'Eurisko' fellow has been whining about the intellectual decline on the internet since nineteen-ninety-fucking-six. I swear up and down that he is the same 'Eurisko' who pissed and moaned all over the Really Bloody Old Official X-Files BBS way back when.

He still can't articulate worth a shit.

(Incidentally, 'eurisko' is a term from a...oh, jeez, the fact that I remember this has damnededed me...it was the name of Brad-wossname's software company from the first-season X-Files episode 'Ghost in the Machine'. It's supposed to mean 'I discover things'...yes, I have been a dork all my life, why do you ask?)

You are so kidding me. Figures he'd be from X-Files. Now, that is a wanky fandom from the past.

I wish I was, but he SOUNDS EXACTLY THE SAME as the 'eurisko' of old...

And yep, X-Files had its fair share o' wankdom, all right. The old Mulder+Scully or Skinner+Scully or Mulder+Skinner brawls (into which someone always flung Krycek, which spawned cries of RODENT INFESTATION (or, if you were me, dunna-nunna-nunna-nunna dunna-nunna-nunna-nunna RATBOYEEE) and endless snargling about whether or not Krycek was, in fact, evil), the weekly 'SKULLY IZ FAT N MULDOR IZ GAY!!!1' trollings, the Lone Gunmen Wannabe conspiracy theorists...

It might not be the same guy, but oh god if it's not, I think he's been cloned.

I just made a very unladylike snorting noise reading this. My mother would be so proud.

(*is flattered to bits, yo*)

I've hardly ever been one to get into serious arguments. I mean, even in real-life debates I'm bound to flub a word, fumble, claim "I am now speaking in tongues!" and thereby slay the topic.

Hooray for lesbian tarts!

I've been known to get into serious arguments, but not on serious topics. I'll wank Joe Millionaire with the best of them, but politics gives me brainache.

That's got to be the greatest excuse yet. I've to use that sometime.

Wonderful, bloody wonderful, this is as good as the plebe Potter wank!

because the internet commubnity as a whole has grown even larger and even more idiotic. The levels of email spam should be an indicator to that.

Pot, meet kettle. 'whole' should be spelled 'hole' btw.

English teacher... something has to be done about the quality of our education, what is this world comming to?!

And what kind of newbies does he want to keep out I wonder? Those people who haven't heaps of connections on lj, since they are, to give just a few examples: female/poor/foreign or whatever? *mustnotbreakgodwinslawmustnotmustnot*

He's talking about control, sanitation... *hurls*

And gotta love him accusing Brad of not reading a word he said.

"Whole" is accurate, unless you're speaking in the sense of "black hole" ... also accurate from time to time.

also accurate from time to time.

The only accurate option in this particular context methinks.
