Hell I'd call it wanky. Since, ya know, people were being continually really fucking stupid and not acknowledging it, in typical wanker fashion.

Seriously, where in hell are all these "slash is any non-canon pairing" people COMING from? I mean I know that was the original definition, but I thought it was rather clear that the definition had changed through usage. Not to mention the freaking blatant references to gay and lesbian relationships on the hatelisting page in the first place.

	I'm not sure it ever was the original definition, given that i have some fairly old (to me, anyway) Blake's 7 zines with "(/)" written next to the titles of slashfics, so you could either skip them or page straight to them as your fancy took you. 	Hah, I feel vindicated, because I had always heard that the term came from Kirk/Spock fics, which obviously would me a same sex relationship on top of being non-canon, and then there was all this wanking about it being just non-canon pairings and I figured it had been a definition that morphed.
