Ya know, if someone writes something satirical/sarcastic and people don't get it, maybe, just maybe, it's the writer's fault for not being funny in the first place, instead of the people who are reading it who don't appreciate the humor? In my ever so humble opinion (and it is humble, because I’m not using five syllable words every sentence, complete with references to Classical Mythology, four part harmony and full orchestration), they’re just setting themselves up to be mocked. From outside their little elitist bubble, they just appear to be fishing for attention, envy and whatever else they can evoke from the average passerby. They shouldn’t be surprised that we find them ridiculous.

And their “satire” is far from funny. But if it makes them giggle, more power to them. Let them feel high and mighty because no one else understands their superior wit. In the meantime, we here will sit back and watch them wank, because it’s funny and stupid shit like that makes us laugh.

It's only satire if it's funny. Really. The fact that you think it's funny doesn't necessarily count(much like a small child who's just learning about humor and makes up his own jokes that he finds hilarious, while adults just give pained smiles).
