I just remember seeing that picture and thinking, that's someone's child there, and it turned ugly a moment of happiness for a family that probably struggles a whole hell of a lot every day. 	It's a picture of a mentally disabled kid winning a race at the special olympics - really a very g ood picture. He looks thrilled and proud of himself. Some asshole took that pic and added text saying "Arguing on the internet is like competing in the Special Olympics - even if you win, you're still retarded." It pops up now and then in flamewars. Apparently someone asked a poorly worded question about whether the QEFTSG Marathon that Bravo is having will be 9 one-hour episodes of the show (the kind that Bravo airs) or 18 half-hour episodes (the kind that NBC airs). The person also meant to ask if they would be different episodes or if Bravo would repeat any episodes during the marathon, which MAY look like a dumb question, but as at least one person pointed out in the flamewar, Bravo has aired the same QEFTSG episode twice in one marathon before, so it's not like the question was totally baseless.

At least, I THINK that's what it's about... hard to tell because nobody makes any sense.

I read her wankery and immediately thought: She needs a lot more bitch-practice before she measures up to any of us. =)

Yeah, there is... don't worry, it was totally fandom-drama-free. It's just that I have way, way too much on my plate. I maintain 2 actors' web sites, which I really enjoy but can be very timeconsuming (thankfully neither of them are all that famous!) and moderate for the Kryptonsite boards, and also maintain, edit and write for PanFandom.com. On top of this, I run my own home business and am the sole caregiver for my 5yo son, who is autistic, and whom I homeschool. Starting to see why yet? :D I just am in the process of cutting out everything unnecessary in life and reprioritizing in a major way, and it became increasingly obvious that LiveJournal, among other things, just had to go. I tried "cutting down" but it didn't help. I had something like 195 people friended, all of whom I legitimately like and didn't want to get rid of, and it would take me at least an hour and a half per day to get through my FL every single day, if not more. And another hour updating, and usually at least an hour per post responding to comments. I just couldn't take it anymore!!! And that was just 3+ hours per day that I didn't have to spare.

LOL Thank you so much... actually there is!! I write for and post all over PanFandom almost daily, and I'm the person covering American Idol this upcoming season, so I'll be recapping and reviewing every episode. But I've also written articles for QEFTSG, Other TV, and most recently, pop music.

Right now I'm gearing up to start obsessing about AI again in a major, major way. Have you seen the Season 3 commercials? Pen salesman!!! *dies*

And it's damn exciting to hear you're going to recap new episodes of American Idol! Previously, all I had to look forward to was Shack, TWoP's resident infante terrible. Ugh. At least you can muster up tons of enthusiasm for your material. The concept of being happy and looking forward to his work just seems to elude that guy...
