It's not a fandom wank, but in the space of one comments thread it's managed to recapitulate nearly all the species of wank found in fandom:

1. plagarism

2. copyright law (with attendant "I'm not a lawyer, BUT" vs. "Well, I *am* a lawer, and here's why I'm right!" vs. "Well, yes, but it's not *really* like that...")

3. "but he's not making money on it"

4. "you're clearly ignorant of xyz!" vs. "He's a troll, Ignore him!" vs. "Fuck off and die!"

5. "Well I just don't care, I just want to read."

6. "I'm right and I have statistics to prove it!"

7. "I'm sick and tired of everyone criticising me!" (which i actually think is justified - sean paul is doing a great job of keeping a 99% unbiased, factual media source available to the public)

Und so weiter. Yeesh.
