And teh wank begins!
You guys all know about [info]lotr_deathmatch. So far it's been all very funny and happy.

Until [info]lobelia321 storms in like her humorless namesake.

Just a small wank, because nobody really cares, but there you go. PS: Lobby honey? "Tig" is not a word, no matter what your pwecious Dommie says.

Excuse me, anonymous moderators or whoever runs this (I note that your userpage is happily email-free and name-free): I notice that my name appears on one of your fight lists. I did not sign up for this. I did not ask my name to be included here. I do not like being signed up for things without my knowledge nor consent. I do not like having to post tigs to 'anonymous'. Who are you? Why did you sign me up?

And please: kindly remove my name!!!

11111

I am: lobelia321
My e-mail is: lobelia40@yahoo.com, but I never check it so please tig my most recent post on LJ to confirm that you have removed my name from this death whatever it is.

Yes, actually, "tig" is a word. It's dialect, and one of the meanings is "annoy/pester/tease", so the remark she makes in her LJ about posting an "annoyed tig" is completely off. (See Webster's Third New International, if you're curious.)

An "annoying" tig, now, that would have been correct. Ridiculous, but correct.

Excuse me while I add this Lobelia chick to my list of Idiots Who Use Words Without Knowing Their Meanings.

She seems to be using it in lieu of "comment". Which is just plain odd!

*points and laughs at Lobelia*

When trying to storm off in high dudgeon, it's usually best to make sure you don't trip on the corner of the rug on your way out. Figuratively speaking, of course. *grin*

Mmm... Tig is the northern England or Scottish version of the game Tag...

If she's American she just sounds like an idiot... if she's English or Scottish... well... she still sounds like one

Tig, is a perfectly sound word, both a noun and a verb, which has a similar meaning to tag, and I don't see why it can't be used the way lobelia uses it :)

please tig my most recent post on LJ to confirm that you have removed my name from this death whatever it is.

Because "match" is such a difficult word. You know what makes this worse is that my pen name in that fandom is Lobelia Sackville-Baggins, and people are always confusing the two of us. Maybe I should put up disclaimers.

Now I don't know what to do when her deathmatch comes up. Should I vote against her as a resounding expression of my "Bitch, please"-ness, or vote to keep her on just because it annoys her to be on there?

My understanding is that it's an identification of the Big Names in our fandom, so there isn't really permission involved - you are one of the Big Names. Luckily, your being on that list doesn't require you to do anything in particular. And I guess it's not as bad as having your fics taken, since they aren't doing anything with your (yummy) works of art. It's more like you're in one of those "Who's the Hottest Hunk" contests in TeenPeople, and you're Orlando!

Although I doubt they'll take your name off, your disinterest in being involved in the deathmatch may increase your chances of being voted off the BNF island soon - unless you get really upset, then it will probably entertain some people and raise your profile.

Yea for the voice of reason! She's so right. Squeaky wheel gets the torture.

Oh dear. I do realise [info]lobelia321's post sounds bitchy, and she should have asked to be removed, but well, she might just be reacting to being put into a competition with MsA and Victoria Bitter - won't YOU have been shocked if you were in her place? especially since she does nothing except write fic and post in fic communities and her own lj. Give the poor girl a break. Please.

'tig' is a word rpg-ers use to ask players to reply to one's own post.

Personally, I am in her place, and no, I wasn't shocked. Surprised, yes, sporfling definitely, much in the way of "I'm a what? Bwahahahaha!", but somehow I managed to avoid stalking onto the journal and throwing a hissy fit. So did the other sixty-one people who were not me, Lobelia, or VB/OB.
