Uhm... psychoaddict did have lots of lame stuff about how Aol 9.0 kept disconnecting her.

And at some point, psychoaddict offered up the IP for the troll... but not her own IP to dispute the troll story. Hm...

I'd like to point out that the entry disappeared within seconds of [info]bunny revealing that moderators can in fact check IP addresses and my trundling off to do so. Copy of [info]bunny's comment:

The owner/official founder/community-what-is-the-word-I-can't-think-of-right-now of fandom_wank can see the IPs too. So if the psychoaddicts is trolling her own thread, sooner or later we would know, unless psychoaddict deletes this wank. (Which would look like a confession of guilt.)

But the meta-wank here is thick.

My response may be preserved in [info]bunny's email inbox, but if not then it's gone for good.

here is my report of the events:

[info]psychoaddict posts a wank about an RPG where the Ron player says that all women belong in the kitchen. Nine minutes later an anonymous troll comes into the kitchen comments and bitches that Women should stay in the kitchen. What else should they do>?

[info]psychoaddict replies with You're...being sarcastic, right?, the troll responds with capslock abuse: NO. WOMEN SHOULD LET MEN DO THE WORK OR THEIR PRETTY FINGERNAILS WILL GET CHIPPED. I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY THAT MOD YELLED AT RON

Upon more baiting by [info]psychoaddict the troll posts that all women are whores, worthless except for their vaginas and uses a racist slur.

Other people join in include yours truly who asks if the troll is not Bob. Yours truly realizes a spelling mistake, deletes and re-posts the question.

The anonymous troll responds to the original question with MY NAMES NOT BOB DUMBASS .

[info]psychoaddict re-post the exact same things under the new, corrected post. Then in a reply to that post [info]psychoaddict posts ARGH. AOL CUT ME OFF.

Fandom_wankers respond with "Or maybe you're just trying to cover your ass because you forgot to post the previous comment anonymously." and "Sure it did."

Lots of bitching ensues. [info]psychoaddictis pissed at such a suggestion, gives us the troll's IP (314.72.34.50 - I wasn't able to match this IP with anything yet.) refuses claims to be the troll. Someone mentions that the community mods can access the IPs too and should be able to verify that [info]psychoaddict is not the troll. [info]backfromspace writes that she is mod and will look into it. Thirty seconds later [info]psychoaddict edits the wank to Ah fuck it all. I can't even post a friggin wank without being trolled or blamed for being trolled. I am SORRY for the dead wanks. just to delete the whole thing ten seconds later.

I think ya'll are all looking at this the wrong way. Psychoaddict is no mere troll...we may have been in the presence of a Wank Goddess. You see, certain modern psychological theories posit that the gods and goddesses of ancient cultures (not us enlightened moderns, of course) were the manifestations of a cultural consciousness, a variant of Jungian archetypes, and...oh, nevermind. How's this for a theory. Imagine somewhere out there is a kilt-wearin', monocle-adjustin', fez-headed creature, ostensibly female (but who can tell on-line?), who sits all day and night at her computer tracking wank. Once, her purpose was pure: she ferreted it out, brought it to the light. But, as Nietzsche predicted, those who fight monsters become monsters themselves. One lonely day on the misty moors of Fandom, she looked about her and there were no enemies to fight. She was tired, so tired, and didn't want to just walk a half-mile to the east and find new festering pockets of Wank. So she sat down, eyes half-closed, and summoned up new wank, created it from her own being. And that is where her corruption began. Her beatific visage degenerated into a Whatthefuck visage?!?, her dashing beret became the ratty old fez she now wears, and she became a being of dualism, a Jekyll and Hyde figure who uncovers wank by day, unaware that she created that very same wank in somnabulist perambulations. A tragic figure really. She is NotBob. She is Rambo187. She is the darkness in us all, that barely-conceal lust to Wank till the Cows Come Home. Where-ever there's an anonymous wank, she'll be there. We have been in the presence...of greatness. Let us not come to bury her, but praise her. Then wank her. Then praise her some more. Because, really, that's all she asks. It's not too much, is it?
