Now it dead from...coke?
If a bountiful source of amusement potential wank is suddenly deleted, does it still spooge?

http://www.livejournal.com/users/hpbnfdeathmatch/ Seems to have disappeared.

Conspiracy theories are welcome. BNF inner circle politics? Someone hired monkey robot assassins to kill the management? The world may never know...

If it's just disabled or something you can all mock me senselessly. I'll wear a target and everything.

I think it died for lack of wank. There was, what, one good sploogefest in seven rounds? I think they were hoping for super-bukkake-n-bloodshed and what they got was The Little Mermaid.

Chaos_Rose on LJ.

P.S. What are bokken?

hp is a blackhole. i've managed to keep my distance for a loooooong time, but slowly, inexorably, the wank drew me in; must have something to do with saturation points and the sheer vastness of JKR's audience.

anyway, this is just to say that i bitterly regret not having set up a journalfen account while the codes were plentiful (cough)(lastnightsremains at yahoo dot com)(cough), since this is a wank that truly aspired to be all-inclusive and transcendent. The One Wank for hp fandom. gotta respect the vision.

I don't know... if it was someone who was upset over CC's loss, they probably wouldn't have created and closed another round before deleting it.

The girl who was mocked on there a while back (forget the name) did send one of her friends to try and TOS the Deathmatch for harrassment. It could've been that. However, I think it would have more likely been suspended if that was the case, so... dunno.

Am I being too OliverStonish for thinking that the Deathmatch "casually" got deleted after CC lost by a landslide and Aja asked to be pulled out of the game?

After all, they're the alpha and omega of Harry Potter Wank. A deathmatch between them would had been amusing.

Yeah, I'm sort of sad to see it go. At first I thought, "oh, cool!" -- then I thought, "oh, no!" when I saw the vitriol being spewed. But then most of the vitriol seemed to leach out, settle down - people were actually giving reasons for their support or non-support, which were interesting enough to flip it back into "oh, cool" status. I also found it interesting to see how many people actually didn't recognize names of those I thought of as "BNFs" -- the division of the HP fen into so many subsets was really clear. And finally, it gave me reason to check out new people I didn't know, but who others obviously did, and maybe expand my reading/lj horizons.

Plus, dude, I WON MY ROUND HA HA HA HA HA!!11!one!

Aww...let's mock speculate about who ran the HPBNFdeathmatch instead!

My top 3 suspects:

1. Malachan
2. Heidi8
3. Moeyknight ..more of a suspect for the watcher journal though...

And all currently on LJ! Stalk them while they're hot!
