I must admit, the 'bomb Norway' icon rather cracked me up.

Me thinks the Aussie poster who harped on about the atrocities committed against the Native Americans forgot that a lot of the US actually was *British* colony during part of this, so her 'aboriginees were badly treated by the British, not us, thus the US is much worse, nananana-na' argument is highly mind-boggling (And the aboriginees have been treated so well after Australia became semi-independent, haven't they?) Ahhhh, my lovely little fandom. For TWO YEARS we Idolfen have watched F_W enviously from the sidelines, wishing that the copious amounts of wank on the Bolt boards and the LJ communities would somehow be interesting enough and escalate to extreme enough degrees to ooze onto get posted here.

I know I look to TV shows for all my knowledge on foreign policy, world events, and history. Why, I was watching an ER rerun, and did you know that not a single damn, selfish American cares about what happens in Africa, and the only reason is because there's no oil there?! Actually so did I -- the wank got personal at my house -- my mom and sister are big American Idol fans and they got into a discussion on whether Kurt or Kelly should win and if there was politics involved. Thankfully, real-life and the fact my mother and sister are sane human beings kept it down.

I think he's getting this term mixed up with "seminary school".
