The Dilbert comic syndicated on LJ today has an assload of wank in the comments.... Yay for stupid people who get mad at other people's stupidity!

Then, see the same gross overreactions over at the Calvin and Hobbes comic. Seems to be the day to be bitchy. Full moon or something.

I like the one who basically said that the strip was now RUINED because of the "First Post!!!!111" posts.

Last time I looked, LJ wasn't the only place to read the funnies. Sure, it takes a few more clicks of the mouse, and the plugs for all the other crappy comics you don't want to read are annoying, but at least you don't have to put up with other people's stupidity directly.

I really think someone should do a study of what makes the wank proportion on the comics feeds so high. I mean seriously! There are entire FANDOMS, where real discussions take place, that are less wanky.

I dunno...maybe it's related to just having bad people skills in general? It seems to me this sort of thing happens in fandoms (and on message boards) that attract either a lot of teenagers (HP fandom, anyone?) or computer geeks (Take Slashdot. Please). Neither group's exactly known for their charm and grace.

I have nothing clever or funny to say here...the comics threads were wanky, but then I went to his LJ and he was anal, but I've seen worse...and then I want went to the link provided by mindset above and he got a little worse...and went to the first link on the Feb. 10, 2003 entry.

This guy is...beyond sad. I actually sorry for the guy, in a "he's so fucked up that I'd never let him within 10 miles of me" way.

Must go wash eyes now. Not gonna read his stuff again.

On the first link...you'd think Slashdot and Fark had cornered the market on this kind of silliness, but obviously not. The huge "DIE" graphic on one of the replies to the Boobies first post, the comparisons to other sites, the ACs...all we're missing is a few absurd spam posts and crude jokes about CmdrTaco or Drew.

The second link...okay, so one of the best comics I never read, sadly has been totally ruined because one wanker made a First Post years after the fact? Excuse me while I get my Supah Space Plane (US surplus, cheap!) to come fetch your brain, because this is clearly not Earth logic.
