Fandom Scruples
[info]fandom_scruples is making a list and checking it twice. 'Gonna find out whose naughty or nice...

It seems that [info]arabe1la's little rant may have inspired others to come forward against the kiddie corrupting cesspool that is the HP fandom!

This journal is asking for nominations for those in the fandom who've been good little fanfic writers and have politely locked away their naughty Dobby/Twincest Epics, and for those who have been TEH NAUGHTY.

Of course, we have the first nominee, [info]epicyclical, because clearly they cannot leave her out of their little plans even though they claim they pay no attention to her.

Yes.

Browsing the Scruple's f-list proves to be fruitful as we get to hear from:

[info]tartanboxers who is very stupid confused.
[info]perceval who takes, um, well, a different approach on how to rid the mind of such pollution.

*sniffs* Lordy, I love my fandom.

perceval seems to think that morals are the only thing keeping people from hopping into bed with their siblings. I'm okay with anything and everything, including incest, but I still wouldn't want to sleep with my sister. familiarity breeds contempt.

I dealt with this the only way I could...

[quoted]

Hey, I'm not a major member of the HP fandom (I just belong to a few RPGs and such), but I think I'm JUST right for your black list.

I wrote a Digimon incest fic and posted it on FFN, and an NC-17 Digimon fic with suicide which, after being taken off FFN, I posted on Fandomination (unfortunately, with screwed up formatting) and Mediaminer. Following leaving Digimon, I've been mostly writing RPS, though as previously mentioned, I've been slipping into Harry Potter.

That LJ's [info]eljuno and the name is El Juno (note the space) I believe people SHOULD be warned about me, don't you?

If an author or artist is added to the black list, they will be sent a letter asking that they lock all of their fics in password protected website.

I can't wait to see what'll happen when people start getting these emails.

Eh.

The best thing (for the fandom)it could turn into is a no incest/NC17/etc. archive for people.

The worst thing? A huuuge heapin' trainwreck that would end friendships and send the fandom into a meta-feud.

Which would send [info]zorrorojo into fits of gnashing teeth, just because it'd all end up here.

Must... resist... urge... to write!

Seriously, I adamantly don't write fiction; there are probably people who would pay me to not write fiction. This? This makes me want to write the stinkiest fiction with the vilest pairing I can think of and post it UNLOCKED in my LJ.

Thankfully, I am writing a term paper presently, and graduate school reing over mockery... barely.

CJ,
xturtle on LJ, who will make a JF account just as soon as this stupid paper is written.

So arabe1la posts that she doesn't think writing incest fic is anything to crow about. She doesn't agree with it and asks that it be kept private. Fine, she's entitled to her opinion. She proceeds to get wanked about it. Lots of people wank about how saying such horrible things against incest fic is imposing their morality on the rest of the fandom.

So tell me this. How is telling Arabella or anyone else they're not entitled to rant about incest fic NOT imposing their morality on the rest of the fandom?

Ohohoh!! I'll write a story for the special list!! I always did like Dobby!! :) :) :)

Once upon a time Dobby had a sock!! Dobby loved his sock very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very much! He named his sock Socky! Socky and Dobby had many adventures at Hogwarts!! Sometimes Socky had adventures with Dobby and Winky!! Socky liked Winky and Dobby very, very, very, very much!

They liked to play "Hide Socky" a lot! Dobby was very good at playing "Hide Socky"! Sometimes he hid Socky down his pants!! Isn't that silly? Socky didn't mind it though, and Winky didn't either, because Dobby was very good at hiding Socky!! Winky could hide Socky too, but whenever she hid Socky, he got all wet, and Socky didn't like being wet, because then Socky had to be hung up on the clothes line to dry, and that took forever! And then Socky was sad because Winky and Dobby would play games and Socky couldn't join in!

But as soon as Socky was dry, they'd take the pins off the top of the sock, and it could play with them again and again!! Socky was the happiest sock in alllll the world!!! yaaaay!!!

The end!! :D

I just re-posted some old Snape/Draco smut and then reported myself anonymously. This is fun!

It *now* says in its latest post that it's screening all its comments-- because people are having the audacity to nominate themselves for the Horrible Awful No-Good Very Bad BlackList.

In fact, this only proves the point that people will abandon their principles in order to be popular.

Note that the easiest thing [info]fandom_scruples could do would be to friends-lock its journal so it could take nominations without worrying about being a source for NC-17 links. Except that doing that might make it *gasp* not as popular!!

Gee, f_s, I'd hate to see you stick to your own so-called principles at the expense of all the attention.

I'm not shocked by people's desire to be 'included'. In fact, this only proves the point that people will abandon their principles in order to be popular.

I mean, it couldn't prove that some people have different principles, and maybe even ethical systems that include the ability to distinguish between fiction and real life.

Perish the thought.
