Here's a link to wank that won't get locked or removed, I can guarantee it. It's right here over on [info]fandom_rant. Here's what happened!

1. Members-only [info]fandom_rant post by An Otherwise Uninvolved Person, paraphrased: "A friend of mine defriended me and made reference to Fandom_Wank as a possible reason. Sucky!"

2. Open post by [info]darkrose regarding #1: "I can't believe that people are still purging their friends list of Fandom Wankers..." (and more, none of which mentions anyone by name.)

3. [info]iibnf comments to [info]darkrose: "Oh, get over it. I have 160+ people on my friends list, sometimes I remove them for the flimsiest of reasons... I can't believe you're still harping on this after so long!"

4. Many people, paraphrased: "She isn't talking about you!"

5. [info]iibnf, paraphrased: "Yuh-HUH!"

What I deleted was my post-misreading comment about being misquoted in the larger post. I don't know if I was un-friended because of FW; that was my first, knee-jerk reaction. I've talked with a few other people and I think it's for a different reason altogether . . . which is moot because I've closed the book on that chapter and am moving on.

I did a whole post about netiquette and copyrights regarding posting email. Then anonymous came along and laid down the law. I didn't think her argument was very convincing, but she put "Period" at the end, so she must have been right.

I was actually surprised when one of my LJ friends posted something regarding this matter. I didn't even know it was that of importance. It drew her attention back to f_w and f_r which she had been trying to ignore. It didn't exactly improve her view on f_w and f_r. Ah well life's like that.

I'm not entirely sure if they were forcing her. They must've mentioned the rant in f_r and she wanted to see for herself if it was true and lo! The person who ranted was getting support from the people in f_r or so that was how it was interpreted.

I'd written up a big post detailing what went down from my POV. Then I realized how incredibly wanky that was, and deleted it.

Whoever's tracking my posts on [info]iibnf's behalf, please inform here that not only am I not upset that she defriended me, I'm pleased. I've been trying to limit the number of nutcases in my reality. Yes, when it first happened, I was a little hurt. I got over it. Trust me, I haven't thought about her since. I have far more interesting things to occupy my mental energy, most notably, my Evil!Harry plot bunny, the Expecto Patronum RPG, and how cute my cat is. Oh, and SQUIDWARTS!!!
