Prince of Tennis wank
I have been thinking of whether or not to post this, since I can be blamed for putting it into action and some people involved are on my friends list, but it doesn't seem that anyone else is wanking it, and wank is always wank. Still, I prefer just to give you links and try not to offer any opinions on the subject here.

hikaruchi posted a cute Fujicest pic and I commented on it, also commenting on the artist's notes under the pic.

rkold was amused by my comments and wrote a rant about TezuFuji and MizukiYuuta with some not so nice comments about TezuFuji shippers. [At this point I'd like to point out that her userinfo has a warning: she slams some popular pairings.]

Was waiting for some PoT wank, since like everyone and their grandma is in that fandom now. Although this is a bit on the tame side compared to other wanks I saw. >.>

People trying to find canon proof for yaoi couples--apparently even incest couples?--in boy's manga? I don't know much about PoT but...man. *boggled*

Though it is pretty funny to see people get that worked up over it. How can you hate non-existant people that much?

Kouji/Kouichi from Digimon 04. It's *very* popular, and they're twins.

Also, the pairing of Edgar and Sabin from FFVI seems to be popular with doujinshi artists...

Actually, Fujicest is one of the more apparent pairings in the series if you like to see it that way. Syusuke likes to tease his little brother with comments like "should we go on a date, too, Yuuta?" and I think there was one about Yuuta being his boyfriend... He's also really protective of Yuuta. etc etc.

I second the person above me. I'm actually *into* TeniPuri, and still I have a hard time keeping up with all the coinings. Especially because the Japanese and the rest of the world use different ones ... and new ones seem to pop up every day ...

If you do not like a pairing, don't draw it and then denigrate the pairing. I mean really, didn't your families teach you any manners or at the very least some common sense or courtesy.

Ahaha, hear me laugh. Fun how her attitude towards pairings she doesn't like is to bitch and call the people who support it crackheads, which is much better. Suffice to say, I don't have high opinions of this girl's parents after that lovely rant.

And by the way, I'm on crack, because ZukaFuji is my preferred pairing. Well, that and TakaFuji. *goes off to sniff*

Which is something I don't understand about this fandom, you know? There's such a diverse amount of couplings (considering the 98% male cast ^_~), and some of the couplings are so WTF and laced-with-crack that you have to wonder why people are even wanking at all over something like a ship. There's just so many that you'd think tolerance would be given. Add to the fact that the majority of Tenipuri fans are adults, because of the availability of the series, and it boggles the mind even more.

Hell, I was boggled when people wanked over the fact if Tezuka was *uke* or not--in the same general ship. I mean, REALLY people.

LOL, I guess it's just a slight circle jerk, but I believe there's a history against the Tezu(Zuka)Fuji fans from people who just don't like that coupling, so this is just a further stab at them. (Some very mild, fairly one-sided wank involving said coupling, and said coupling's uke-factor.)

I don't think it's colossal wank either myself, but holy hell, my friendslist exploded into people whining and complaining about a 'fandom war.'

O.o; Maybe I'm just jaded from all the Harry Potter and LotR wank we get here at F_W, but one rant does not spark a monumentous rift in the fandom...

I particularly love watching people go on about how the Prince of Tennis fandom is so huge it's eating itself, and it's becoming soulless, and it's not as nice as it was in the OLD DAYS when it was a SMALL FANDOM and on and on and...

That's what most people say about ANY fandom, how it was good back in the 'old days when it was small' and so on and that it's 'going all to hell' and getting bad. When you hear that line, that means wank is also around the corner. ~_^

I actually prefer the large fandoms, since there's more fics to read, and more diversity in pairings... for example trying to find good Demon Diary fics is like hitting my head to a stone wall.

You know, I've been waiting for something like this months, and now...I'm disappointed. I mean, it's so small.

Maybe I'm expecting to much out of my PoT. *sigh*

I think wanking over pairings is silly, anyway, because people will like what they like. Several of my favorite couples lack any sort of "evidence" at all. But I like them anyway.

Of course, the popular - and apparently wanktastic - pairing of Tezufuji is one I don't see at all; it's all about personal preference. But if other people want to ship it, they're perfectly free to do so. As long as they don't shove it on me.

I'm not into TeniPuri and I'm scared. This WAY reminds me of the Slam Dunk yaoi fandom in its bad days, but then again we never reached SUCH a state of wankiness. Maybe because people who disliked RukawaxSakuragi were so few...

At least my dear Captain Tsubasa is relatively safe, since the series' too old (not counting the horrid Road to 2002 remake) to be even remembered by younger and wankier yaoi fangirls.
