Old G Gundam Fandom Wank from 7th Hell
So, G Gundam has become a pretty popular series since it was aired at CN. As expected, yaoi fanfics were written about it. I personally don't like yaoi about that specific series since practically everyone in the Shuffle Alliance has a canonical het love intrest and I happen to *adore* these match-ups... but okay. To each, their own, I suppose.

THIS fanfic is one of those. Now, it looks harmless, eh?

HAHA! i'm reviewing again! i just stumbled across this fic, and it's still the only shounen ai! KAKKOI!!! i read the reviews before i wrote this, and all i have to say is g-gundam fans are like rabid dogs! dear Lord! ^^ i think Saisaishi and Domon are made for each other! there's a whopping 4 year difference in age! soooooooo scary right?! my parents are 5 years apart, and i can reassure you that most adults that are married are around that age span if not more and of course... 	The problem isn't slash. Right after I finished the series I scouted ff.net for fics, and all I found (after an admittedly short look) were serious fanfics. Serious fanfics. For G Gundam. I understand why, if you have a serious show, you get lots of fanfics making fun of it. It's funnier that way. But for a show that doesn't take itself too seriously to apparently be taken VERY seriously by all of its fandom, that's strange.

I only skimmed the first few pages, but every fic was either serious or a Mary Sue (and people take their Mary Sues very seriously as well.) I was amazed that there was no humor. You have to have a sense of humor to like G Gundam!

Of course, I'm a person who writes seriously but also writes humor into everything. I don't think that just because a fanfic is labelled Angst or Drama that it's any good. For people who've done it well with the series, they must be amazing. But where are my fellow idiots? I feel lonely. ;_;

Well, G Gundam is quite more angsty than what it seems. Everyone's stories have their angsty touches. Domon's loss of his family, Chibodee losing his own mom in an horrible way, George and the Tragedy of Versailles, Argo and Andrew Graham, Rain and her esttranged boyfriend, the truth behind Schwarz Bruder, the final episodes, etc. So, under the goofy mecha designs (I swear I choken on my beer when I saw the Mermaid Gundam) there's quite the angst... ^^

I remember some parodies in the section, but you have to search WELL to find them...

	Oh, I know there's angst. But it seemed to me, overall, to be a fun series more than an angst series. Despite the number of times Domon gets it up the ass, metaphorically speaking. Well, there's also the fact that I went searching right after seeing the ending. You cannot convince me that is not a goofy ending. The problem is that in the Western fandom, Yaoi has come to be synonymous with "slash" in most cases, thus leading to problems and/or bitching. All of which could be solved if they'd just use the word "slash," but...different fandoms.
