I can so tell you what to do!
So a nice, thoughtful person decides to start a LJ community for discussing Smallville spoilers, so that people can keep them off their own LJs and not spoil their friends.

Then comes a small twist: you are asked not to friend the community, but just to bookmark it so that people who read your friends list won't be spoiled, get mad, and unfriend you.

Someone doesn't obey.

Wank is bound to ensue.

They could just friendslock the entries made in the community; then, anyone who isn't a member can't see the entries. Or that would just be logical, I suspect.
